The Front Porch Swing

Wondering where Bee is.......
Bee is having computer problems. Also she is getting ready for a BIG family get-together.

Really wish life would quit pulling lifes rug out from under me. If I was a drinker a keg of moonshine would be needed about now. The young man whose been helping me find a house called earlier and asked about a deposit. I told him I would need to call my hubby and would call him back. Well hubby now informs me WE DONT HAVE MONEY I MISUNDERSTOOD HIM! Seems the money he was going to BORROW (home equity line) from our house in usa that we have paid on now 23 yrs. I told him no way in hell was I going to borrow on the house and if something happened to us leave my kids with nothing. Soooooo, im beyond ****** off, angry at the world and need to wallow in self pity for a bit here.
Told the young man to call the woman and tell her im sorry. Guess I need to go visit my sons grave tomorrow. Remind myself that this is only worldly matters. Til then I got to now figure out how to build a bigger hen house on the roof cause im not going anywhere anytime soon.
Got to quit hoping. ..then remind myself someones got it worse off than me.

I am sorry for the disappointment. Don't give up, God has a plan.

I had never heard of tying thread on the end of your barrel. That is a good idea!!
I don't hunt but when Blooie mentioned it, it makes a TON of sense. The breeze might be so light you don't feel it but the animals downwind know where you are. Similarly, a friend who races 17' boats uses the hair on his arm for the same purpose. Those who figure out where the really light breeze is coming from are the ones who are moving. SLOWLY, but moving.

There was another line in there that I like - "I was too busy trying to keep my job to do my job." LOL

Sadly, I think that applies to about 535 people in Washington D.C. who "work" the same way.

Seems the money he was going to BORROW (home equity line) from our house in usa that we have paid on now 23 yrs. I told him no way in hell was I going to borrow on the house and if something happened to us leave my kids with nothing.

That really is bad news! But I agree with you, borrowing money on one house to buy another is not a sound financial plan unless the odds of selling it in the next month for your asking price are 110%. I hope good karma smiles on you, sounds like you need AND deserve it.

Well, I can't stop grinning and I think that's gonna be the way of it for a few more days. Just got a text from Russ. Much to the surprise of her cardiologist, surgeon and renal doctor, Linda went home from the hospital tonight. Her surgery was one week ago today and she's sailed through every dialysis session, already been working out on the cardio equipment, and insisted on WALKING out of the hospital to the car. She told the equally insistent nurse that she wouldn't have anyone at home carting her along in a wheelchair and if the hospital and staff have done their job as well as she thinks she did, there was no reason for her to leave the hospital the way she came in. GO LINDA GO!

Well, I love that little bit of Asian in us. We all have tho youthfulness to our faces, I think, that will help us out a bit when we get older. My sister Olivia is 25, but she looks about 15 when she gets a good night's rest. It's really amazing. Just wish the same went for my younger sister. Nivia is 16 but she gets attention from older boys. I often have to remind her to say she's only in high school. Most of the boys walk away real fast once they hear that, and those that don't need to be given a good kick where the sun don't shine. Which reminds me to invest in a big can of pepper spray for her. Those creeps always seem to be around.

Ooh! I was capturing all that video today after hours of troubleshooting, but I found something y'all might like to see!

1000

Look at how chubby I was! I looked like a little Asian boy in a dress! That moment was when I had been staring somberly across the street. Mom said that I would say I had imaginary friends across the street, but she secretly thought I was always watching the spirit of a lady who had passed away there. Either way, she never let me go over there alone.

Actually, Olivia said that I always had a somber expression in my face and going over the footage, she'd be right! All the time, I looked so serious. I guess that's what Mama meant by old soul!

That is an old soul look in a little girl's face, for sure. Wisdom of the ages with innocence of babes.

I don't think you looked "somber". I think "pensive" fits better. You look like there are so many things to try to understand and they are all so big and wonderful that you were just trying to figure out where to start! This is adorable!
