The Front Porch Swing

I forgot to mention that I have to see my cardio/vascular surgeon this week. I haven't forgotten the issue with the legs, just forgot to mention what I've decided to do. I'm going to request some stronger anti-coagulant meds instead of having the bypass that he recommended. He might not be real happy with that choice, but if that's the case then he shouldn't have left the final decision to me and given me the time I asked for instead of demanding an immediate answer. He's generally pretty conservative with treatment - doesn't like doing surgery unless it's absolutely necessary so I'm hoping that that attitude prevails when I see him. I felt really at ease when I made the final decision, so I know I didn't make it alone.

Oh Blooie, don't feel bad. I still can't tell boys from girls

Doesn't help my main hen has spurs, a big comb and tries to crow. Something apparently common when there's no man around

It's so much easier with the birds with sexlink traits haha The ones where the cock is all fanciful and the hen is a bit dowdy looking. Now THAT'S easy. Barred rocks are supposed to be easy to tell apart. LIES!

Hey guys! I just saw my 'funny' rooster crow.... what a pathetic sound. Sort of like a 8 week old cockerel. I am pretty sure he is one year old this month. Maybe I should name him Daniel. Well......maybe not ......I have a grandson named Daniel. ..... :)

Don't you fool around now. Listen to your DR. Love you.

Hey folks, remember when I told you how happy Aimee was to finally after 10 days be able to catch the little runaway dog? Bottom line is the owners are not prepared to live with the 14 day medication and the fact that the dehydration might have blinded her so they put her down. On the weekend and are going to of course bill Aimee for charges. That dog left here happy, tired and de-ticked. She would have needed an antibiotic and possibly could have lost her sight. but, you know, we were so thrilled to be able to get her home. Destroyed within 6 hrs. Dr and his wife have plenty of money. and took photos of the 10 year old boy holding his dead dog. Probably going to sue for damages and suffering. This woman never said that Tinker was an escape artist and regularly got out of their yard. Sometimes I'm so disappointed in people. I always expect the best. Not this time.
