RIP 1953-2021
How long ago were you on Weight Watchers? I really like their program, but I dropped it when we went to 2 mortgages. My neighbor has just lost 12 pounds with weight watchers, she has lost 2-3 pounds each week. The on-line program is affordable, but you need to have the self control to stay on program by yourself. The meetings are such a big help with that. And they have a recipe builder on-line that allows you to put in your own recipes and tweak them to reduce the points to fit the program better. I really like that I get to learn how to cook my meals in a healthy way and will be able to eat that way for the rest of my life. I will probably go back on Weight Watchers next spring.
I cant do meetings they dont have a heavy weight class close by. But I am considering the online version. Technically I am a life time member. 34 years ago I lost 56 lbs in 26 weeks and was able to maintain till I got my lifetime membership. I went from 190 to 134 and a size 14. I am not built to go any lower than that at 5'8" I kept it off for two years and it took another nine before I got up to 200 again. I was 220 when I got pregnant with my son....
Funny thing is. While I was pregnant I didnt gain an ounce. I weighed in at 220 when I went in to the hospital to have my C-section. When I came out I was at 200. Doc said baby took all he needed so I didnt have to worry about not gaining weight while pregnant. Outside of being a Franks Breach munchkin was totally normal good weight and size...
Now 25 years later.... I am soo jaded. But I may try a protein diet for a while to get started....
