The Front Porch Swing

Hahaha, Blooie you crack me up.

I've found that it's a good idea to train the chickens to come on command, a lot easier than spending twenty minutes chasing them every time you want to get them in the run.

Got me some duckducks. Or well, muscovy. But I call them duckducks.

Hoping there's a trio in there, or atleast 2 females so I can get a male from different bloodlines. Will be raising them for meat, fly control and they're just pretty darn awesome.

Been pretty quiet around here lately, is it because of all the construction on the front porch? I can assure you, DH is done with the handrails now. The insurance company is happy. Even though the house is 44 years old and never ever had a railing around the front porch. You may all take a seat now, it's "safe." Er… well… excuse some of the construction supplies. I'll get those up in a bit.

Uh oh… are these a good kind of backyard duckies? I might need some ducks too!

Well, the move is complete. I am officially in Wisconsin.
An old college friend came up to help us unload the U-Haul. He brought his 7 year-old daughter. I have been informed that I have a barn so I need livestock. Sheep, chickens, a horse, a cow for milk, and a pig for ham. She has been playing the farming game with her daddy, not sure what that is exactly. She really enjoys it, but her Daddy says she buys way too much livestock is about to lose the farm.

So happy that you are finally in. Seems like a dream, doesn't it. We wait forever for things to happen and when it does, we are surprised. Good luck sweetie.

I am having a hard time adjusting, it feels like I need to pack my bags and start heading back to Wyo.
DH is off at work,so home alone trying to unpack and set up house.

Woo hoo! Have you had any cheese curds yet? Just in time for all the pretty fall colors. I must agree, barns do need livestock
