Yep.... Right now all my friend peeps are on the internet... I have become complete isolated from the "world" living here with my Grandma....

I have a tight group of horse friends that I have never met.... number one on my bucket list is to meet every one.... sigh.

I have met quite a few Peeps from BYC at meet ups.... Though the San Diego group has been very very quiet lately.... sigh.

So true! Quality over quantity every time! I have three friends, but they are amazing and I would rather have three amazing friends then 20 not really there for you friends. For the most part I seem to be the friend that's helping out, it's really hard for me to ask for help, but I offer it whenever needed. But if I need something, or just to vent, they are there for me everytime.

I guess I've been pretty fortunate. I'm still in close contact with friends we had while we were in the Navy and a few of them date back over 40 years. I've occasionally run into that "friends kinda-sorta" situation but not very doggone often. If I run into Bobi Jo, the first friend I made when we moved here 18 years ago, at the store and she says, "Hey, we need to go out for lunch", set a time and place then and there. Most of my friends are like that.

I have very good friends here and on a couple of other forums too. Ma told me once, (here we go with another Mom-ism) "The Good Lord gave you just so many hours on this Earth. If you want to waste them whining over someone who was never destined to be your friend in the first place, take it somewhere else. The Good Lord gave me just so many hours on this Earth and I'm not going to waste it listening to you whine over something you have the power to change." Yep, that was Ma!
