You're right. Think of Rachel Ray's cute little stove on her food channel set. Old as the hills.![]()
If I hadn't just replaced mine I might have made a serious offer, as I used to love watching her cook with that stove.

Alice, I'm so glad you had an awesome time at Disneyland. I know all about little kid sensory overload - the meltdowns come fast, hard and unexpectedly, but they never last long enough to dim the entire experience, do they?
Exciting day yesterday. First of all it was Little Diane's 20th birthday. I remember every moment of the day she was born. I wish I could explain how my heart swelled when her parents had arranged with the doctor for me to hold her first - still attached to her mom - and my daughter announced that she was going to be named after me. No words....just no words.
I held a few eggs up to my ear yesterday and I could swear it sounded like someone was grinding his little teeth in there. Ken says I just wanted to hear something so much that I imagined it. Maybe. We'll find out in the next day or so.
And then last night I was tucked into bed with my iPad, just reading, when it rang. The kids and I use Facetime a lot because it's free and doesn't take any minutes off our cell phones, plus we can see each other. I answered it and there was Kendra, all freshly bathed, hair damp and hanging down in shiny ringlets, and her purple Yellowstone Bear jammies on. In the background I heard Jenny ask her, "Who is that, Kendra? Who do you see?"
And Kendra was smiling at me and she said, "Hi, Gramma"! First time ever! I melted. I'm still a little puddley. (I made that word up and I like it, so there!)
Yep, yesterday was a good day! Well, except for the wind gusts up to 50 mph and no way to wrestle the plastic over the hoop run. But other than that....
