The Front Porch Swing

Amelia is a "hold me all day or I'll scream" baby. She's the total opposite of Thomas. That boy could hapilly lay in his play pen all day. Amelia HATES the play pen. Occasionally I let her cry it out and she'll play a bit with her toys. If she cries too long or ups the ante (upset cry to furious cry) I get her back out. Sometimes it's just "Sorry girl, I gotta pee, I'll be back". Thomas gets jealous if I'm holding her, so he'll climb on top of me too. It's not unusual for me to sit at my desk with a kid on each knee.

She just want to be held all the time.

You put me in my crib....

Oh hey, I guess you're going to be holding me a while.
God, I remember the faces. Spoil rotten. (mine were)

Well, a new face will soon part of our family - got an email from our grandson Jamie with a picture....

Our newest great-grandchild is a little girl! She will be great company for big brother, Landyn. Landyn will be 2 the end of March, and this little sweetie is due the first of March. I can't wait!

No particular reason for this post - just a couple of recent pictures of the girls that I thought I'd share here as well as on another site. Tonight was Katie's dress rehearsal for her dance recital, and Mom sent her over for Gramma to do her hair. We had great fun playing beauty shop! Easy with her - she's a natural beauty to start with, even if I do say so myself!

And speaking of hair - how many 3 year olds have hair like this? I did Kendra's hair for "school" yesterday. It's as thick as it looks! She's so doggone cute I just had to brag.
