when you use the hole saw on a curved surface run it backwards.... It will go through the plastic just fine but wont grab and catch as it breaks through. If you can lay the bucket down with a two by four inside to back up your work... so you will be drilling into wood as well. It will hellp steady the work as you are cutting into it.

Neat idea. I'm just hoping I can make it decent. I used it for holes on a 5 gallon bucket waterer and ran it backwards.

I'm in northern Humboldt county about an hour and a half from the oregon border on the coast. To bad you don't live closer Deb, my husbands an electrician! He could rewire your kitchen. He took that picture working in Trinidad. Tiny town, but cute and beautiful location.

MY sister has been living in that area for 9 or 10 years. She just loves it. We all stayed at Elk Meadows (or something like that) for her wedding. That is a really nice area -no t much for jobs though.

I'm leaving for Salt Lake Shriners' Hospital this morning. Gonna take Kendra for her appointment tomorrow. Jenny just started her job and although she could take the 2 days off, she'd rather save them up for their trip to Denver Spina Bifida Clinic in March. That one takes 5 days, so every PTO day she saves now is a day she can use then. Fortunately when first Katie and then Kendra were born, Jenny had the foresight to add me as a medical care partner so anytime the girls need to go in I can take them. Kinda nice that she trusts me so much with them. Kendra needs to be fitted for new AFOs (ankle/foot orthotics) but we're hoping that with the documentation I'm carrying from her physical therapists we can discuss the possibility of KAFOs, with a hinged knee brace in addition to the ankle/foot orthotics. Her feet turn in so badly, especially the left one, that sometimes when she's pulling herself up on furniture her left foot will face totally backwards - which tells us that the tibial torsion is getting worse, and we're concerned about the integrity of her knee.

And of course it's been raining all night, windy as all get-out, temps hovering just above freezing, and it's a 50 mile drive to the airport. <sigh> It's so much fun to wrestle with her medical care kit, her wheelchair, my purse and our carry-on the way it is......a flight delay only complicates things. So if you could spare some prayers and good thoughts for us, for her appointment, and our return trip on Tuesday, I'd sure be grateful.
