<AHEM> I have an announcement to make...... <AHEM> Um, I don't know why "AHEM" seems to be the thing to say before an announcement, but who am I to quibble with tradition!

I'd like you all to meet Miss Madelyn Grace, my second great-grandchild! She was born at 8:06 this morning to my grandson Jamie and his amazing wife Rachel, and she tipped the scales at a healthy 7 pounds, 5 ounces. She will join big brother Landyn, whose 2nd birthday is in two weeks! I'm busting my buttons here!! WATCH IT!! DUCK - HERE COMES ANOTHER ONE!!

Maddie! Welcome to this crazy, blue rock. Congrats to your family, Blooie, she's beautiful.

@Blooie I saw in a post on anther thread that Ken was in the hospital. I hope everything is OK and he is home soon!

He was pretty sick, WD....an attack of acute pancreatitis. He was discharged last night. He's still pretty weak - not having a bite or a drink of anything for four days will do that to ya. But at least the pain is gone, thank God. Thanks for asking about him.

Anniversary weekend, new chicks, Ken in the ER then the hospital, new baby - it's been a pretty full couple of days here at Oleo Acres!
