Iris sat at the edge of camp. His wing hurt and the spot where his spur was still bled and was extremely painful.

"Well, I don't think I can get you a new spur, but let's see about that water." Coal turned and made his way to a small stream, and, grabbing a sturdy leaf in his beak, he dipped it in the cool water and brought it back. It didn't carry much, but it was some water, at least.
