One of my chickens died suddenly last week. I found her dead in the coop with no signs of anything wrong. The other 4 girls were huddled around her. Since that day I haven't found any eggs in the coop and I used to get at least 1-2 each day. The one who died was the youngest and smallest and about 7 months old. I don't think she was laying yet so I don't think that's the reason. The other 4 girls are a few months older and I'm not sure which had been laying. I'm worried that they've stopped because of sickness or stress. Also, one of them has been acting strange and moving slower. I was thinking about giving them duramycin 10 to see if that helps. I really don't want to lose another one! Any suggestions?

you might have to give some more information for the experts to help you

what breed?
How old are they all
what are you feeding
any changes to bedding material or feed
any other changes?
do you see any drainage from anywhere?
does their poo look ok?

You may want to remove the one that is acting ill. If this is something that is spreading you don't want the other two to catch it.
