The Great Banana Bread Disaster of 2015

I made walnut butter today. I usually make peanut or peanut/almond/cashew mixes.

I ate a walnut. Not my favorite nut. Not keen on the flavor. So that's why I steer clear of banana bread with walnuts. Love banana bread. Not wild about walnuts. Love other nuts (did I mention the peanut/almond/cashew butter...?). But nobody has mentioned other nuts in banana bread. Chocolate chips would be ok, because chocolate is awesome. Anybody put raisins in banana bread? One of my favorite dinners is oatmeal with bananas and raisins and cinnamon. (Yep, dinner.)

BTW, the walnut butter is for a friend who loves it. Merry Christmas, Bart.

I like to add Pecans to banana bread when I add them-- Usually for the Family and not me though

pretty sure that this thread isn't actually about banana bread anymore, but thought I'd give my 2 cents- I always bake my banana bread without nuts.

And THIS is the proper way to make banana bread. I applaud you.

I use dried cranberries in mine, along with the walnuts. I haven't tried pecans, but they are yummy.
Dried cranberried are better than raisins!

I load mine with chocolate chips. and I mean LOAD. Its delicious.

No nuts for me thanks, little boulders get up under my dental work and wreak havoc! I'm often unable to eat solid foods for a week or two after having my mouth assaulted in such a manner, and soft, mushy foods lacks in satisfaction level.

I don't eat nuts (peanut butter creamy is literally the only exception) and never bake banana bread with it
