The Great Jumbo Egg Mystery

Today I went out to the coop and found a giant egg!!!! The egg weighed 3.5 grams on the scale and is considered a jumbo sized egg!

Pictured here is a store bought large egg, next to that is an older egg one of my hens laid which weighs in at 2.5 grams ( also jumbo) and the last is super jumbo!

Surely you meant ounces not grams??

I got a JUMBO 3.1 oz egg last week...it would not even fit in the egg carton!! I made some cookies last night and used that one thinking ok it will be a double yoker....NOPE....it was a TRIPLE


It is from a new layers thinking possible one of my partridge rocks.
that bowl is what they call a monkey bowl in a restaurant like a veggie dish...it practically filled it!!!!
I was easily able to count this one in my recipe as 2 eggs!

How excited was I at cracking this one open!!!!
