The great ketchup or catsup debate 🤣😂🤣😂🤣

english muffins are still english or breakfast muffins. A muffin is the same as a bap or bun.. (although a bun in the uk is usually sweet) and an american muffin is a cup cake.
We have kind of a loose distinction between our muffins and cupcakes. You would eat a muffin as a breakfast food, it may have just as many or more calories than a cupcake, but doesn’t have icing on top. You can have the same sugary cake like item, and if you put icing on it, it is now a dessert and is not a breakfast food. If you call what we consider muffins to be cupcakes, what do you call the sugary icing on top versions that we call cupcakes? It used to be that muffins were healthier, such as a bran or corn muffin instead of toast with breakfast, but they got fancier and often larger over time, then when I was a teen or so, those Otis spunkmeyer (sp) muffins became popular, and they were like 1200 calories, gigantic, with chocolate chips and fudge, not healthy at all.
