Im still surprised that people are surprised when these things turn out to be fertile.

Here is another current thread where someone has already gotten 7 viable eggs from a dozen organic Safeway eggs which are not marked fertile.

Here is a link to information which states that the broiler industry often releases unneeded hatching eggs to grocery stores for human consumption, and we know they arent labeled as organic or freerange or anything gucci.

When there is an excess of hatching eggs in the poultry meat industry, eggs from broiler breeder flocks can be sold for human consumption. A large percentage of these eggs will be fertile. Fertilized eggs are safe to eat. There is no nutritional difference between fertilized and unfertilized eggs. The embryo does not develop in fertilized eggs that are refrigerated soon after laying

Gosh! I sure do wish you luck, but there's an awful lot of misinformation about "organic" out there. It refers to methods of raising animals and produce without chemical additives (chemical fertilizers, antibiotics, hormones, pesticides, etc). It doesn't have anything to do with whether or not the eggs are fertile. But I do hope your experiment pays off!
