Exactly :)

True. And chickens can't taste sugar.
Who cares if they can't taste it...how good do you think it is for them?

eta...do NOT tell me what you are drinking right now, I will die!

That wasn't my point. I was just saying that they cannot taste it.

I haven't drunk much all day today. 1 cup of coffee and maybe 10 oz of water is all.

I wonder if there are any studies on the effects of light exposure on egg yolk color? I would venture to guess that yolks got lighter as days got shorter, but that could be due to waning foraging instead of decreasing light.

I use the nutrena all flock 20% pellets mixed with this manna pro stuff at 4:1 . They free range most of the day. 10 birds, get 2 cups of scratch a day as treat.
Use one of those metal mesh tea bag balls to make their water. I put oregano, basil, cayenne pepper, cinnamon, thyme and rosemary in the ball, steep in coffee cup of boiling water 15

minutes , dump it in a gallon jug with tablespoon raw apple cider vinegar and fill with water. Eggs are delicious, yolks are very dark yellow almost orangish sometimes. Not a fan of those red orange looking ones you posted. Dunno if i could eat a red or orange omelet or scrambled eggs... brings to mind bloody eggs scrambled .
