Scoop!!!!! only rookies and women do it that way, if you stay into this thread for a while you figure out the real way to do tasty chicken on the Q without going into the kitchen and asking your wife.
Just ribbing you a tad, don't mind me.

Well, I'm a woman so I guess I shouldn't be on this thread!

I am amazed tho, that guys who can "cook" on a grill can't cook at all in the kitchen!

Anyway, I grill on a gas grill, have for about 25 years. Chicken burns even on the top rack, believe me I've done it many times. I don't buy charcoal.

Your a sweatheart and we will fix you up on the whole BBQ & grilling technics, you'll be a master by the end of the summer.
You will hear many different views on charcol/wood vs gas on here, but the whole key is heat regulation and hot spots that are common with gas, most folks use gas for ease and quick conveinance but you can't fine tune your skills on gas. try wood and charcol for a yr and then you will be much better on the gas grill, it will give you a better feel for how to find that perfect temp for any type grilling.

I was just playin with ya us good ole boy's like to joke some I hope you don't mind LOL.

I am a ardent believer in timing you can't rush cooking a good piece of meat, if you plan as all should it will not take any longer to use charcol than gas. The key to it is be vigilant don't screw around, don't leave the area, prepare in advance for flare-up's, it is a labor of love to BBQ. If it is a quick grilled meal from an outdoor microwave by all means use the gas grill, but please take the time to spend babysitting the food it is the only way.
