The hard question: Is it time to euthanize?

Thank you all for the support… it was very emotional but Tillie is no longer suffering. I was able to hold her as she passed. I sure am going to miss her.

I’m still not 100% certain what was causing her belly to swell so much (and neither was the vet a few weeks ago during our last appointment before it was this bad.). I would have liked to send her for a necropsy but we didn’t have time with this trip planned.

I took some pictures of her belly, near her vent. I speculate cancer. She was a little over 2 years old which, according to what I’ve read, is when cancer tends to strike.

You did the right thing but I know it doesn't feel good. But Tillie would appreciate it. May we all act like you did when the time comes.

I don't want to offer too much speculation in these dark times, but I strongly feel that you made the right decision in giving her the easy way out.

That's not normal. I suspect this was related to the belly swelling.
