Don't know about the bending from heat..the same tree that provided the branches provided plenty of protection from the sun. I'm in WV tho, we hit 95 in the summer and everything shuts down..lol

What is it called? Heck, if the sun there in TN makes it bend on the sides, the whole roof will melt here in s. AZ where our sun is VERY intense for months at a time. I've got to build more pens so just looking at alternatives. Thanks.
thats a horrible run of bad luck ,is there anycway you can your rooster with another hen ???This is one of thecreasons most breeder have there breeding with a set of 3 -2 hens and 1 rooster if you could do this you may can find out for certain.Getting very frustrated!! Not sure if it's my cockerel or pullet. I'm having fertility problems. Had to throw out 4 out of 6 eggs at 2 weeks in bator for non-fertile. Checked the ones after 7 days and looks like almost all of the 7 eggs are infertile. It's not the condition feed etc. Because all my breeding areas are the same. And the pair of reds are the only ones having this issue. All other breeds I never throw out eggs for this. It's going to take me 5 yrs to get any type of flock with these.![]()
oh BTW ask matt 1616 or jimmy I am most certain that they could tell you a way to find out if there is another way than what i suggested.thats a horrible run of bad luck ,is there anycway you can your rooster with another hen ???This is one of thecreasons most breeder have there breeding with a set of 3 -2 hens and 1 rooster if you could do this you may can find out for certain.

@ NestingHillsSC - What age are your Reds? My Underwood trio didn't give me fertile eggs until they were over a year old. Never found out which bird(s) took so long to become fertile.
