The ONLY HRIR breeder in W. WA is MumsyII, and she just started this spring and only has cockerels avail. You sound like you are in chicken breeder heaven, from my perspective!

I saw this young ckl last night posted on my I pad. Very nice bird and if they came from Arkansas could this young male be related to this male which I liked so much last fall. bottom piture?

If you have any chicken wire which is like this two inch by four inch latter this year take some pictures of him in front of it we can get a idea of his height and length of body. Looking at his length from his neck to his oil gland area is going to have more length maybe a inch or so and make that 27 inch length of body we desire. Take good care of him he is a super bird.

In regards to the egg shipping I am working on a article to revise the one I made about eight years ago using single nest boxes from Horizon and shipping them two day priorty male. Remember the success Tom Roebuck had with shipping the Buff Rock Eggs to Arizona she got a great hatch and he used my method of shipping that I wrote about. Keep the eggs large size up and pack tightly maybe with shavings filler to the top. If they go into the live section of the Fed Ex airplane that have a 50% chance of a better hatch than if they are in a regular box.

Could you post the link again to the method Fred was talking about. Also, thank you for the link to the eggs for sale. I may know this fellow Steve could help me for sure. They are dark of course so they are not feed store stuff this may be the fellow that sold a ton of eggs on eBay last year for a pretty penny that Steve told me about.]

I think I met him at the Show in Newnan last Feb. Big fellow. With a last name starting with a A.

The sun has made them look lighter, their color is actually quite dark. It has also been over 80 degrees here lately so they are a touch bit warm in these pictures. Still fast runners though. My Dh was helping to keep them somewhat in one place for the pictures. We had one take off on us, he is the spunky one of the bunch. So far no crowing, but it is sure to start. And rooster 8 really looks so much better in person, he just would not pose today.
