The Heritage Rhode Island Red Site

Well, she looks really pretty and is very soft however she was while she was laying. Good layer! A egg a day. She is kept in a run tell I get off work and has a few hours to roam. She seems to stay by herself for the most part. She is the head of or Peking order as well. She has not entered laying box since. I stay with them the whole time they r out. She just looks for bugs. I'm not sure if she's molting. I have not found many of her feathers the other girls yes but not her. She is a old game, welsummer, maybe brown leg horn mutt. Light brown eggs. I'm holding on to the last egg she laid and come home everyday hoping ... I am baffled myself.

Yes, folks who post here in the Heritage Rhode Island Red thread may have thoughts, opinions and experience on a whole gamut of poultry keeping, but those subjects are better discussed in other appropriate forum sections around BYC. Just a reminder. The BYC staff does try to keep the threads in this Breeds section on point. A big thanks to all who participate.

I want to apologize if I upset anyone! I really think you guys have a great and are very intelligent people about your flocks! I got a private message saying that I should not ask questions on this thread so I apologize again. Thanks for your help

Not a problem. We think you're great too!!! These threads are focused, that's all. The questions and discussions should be on the Reds. That said, I hope you understand the purpose of the focus and that you're always welcome to read along and ask questions on the Standard bred Rhode Island Reds anytime.

Love to have to you aboard.
