I will still be watching everything happening and will ask questions when I have them. I think I do need to know alot more before I comment again about the breed/history. Just reading and researching isnt enough and the last thing I want to do is to put out the wrong information.
They are looking good. It is amazing to see them make it in adversity. I hope you get that special one or two from them.Group with 12 chicks are 2 weeks and the others with 6 are the super chicks (1 week) that I had such a hard time with. lol This is it for me for this year. If they all do good, this is enough for me to work with thill next year. lol Gee, I wasn't going to hatch any this year at all but as most of you know, as long as we have eggs and an incubator or broody it is hard not to raise a few (or for some, a lot.) LOL Our weather is so strange this year, high 80's for a few days then down in the low 50's for the next few. It is only 56 right now. I waited for my hatching thinking I could put them outside early but gee, they would need hoodies and knee socks on. LOL Oh well, I love the cooler weather just can't seem to take the heat. I know Matt, you are probably grinning from ear to ear about me talking about the hot weather. That's okay, I just can't take that hot weather especially with high humidity.
You must be close to me..we were in the upper 80s last week, dry and hot..today the high is 67, rain and chilly all this week..I've got so much to do outside and is looking like I'm not gonna get anything accomplished. . I did manage to snag a dozen + Norwegian Jaerhon eggs that someone else backed out on, so come next spring between those, the Silkies and Tolbunt Polish I should be able to sell enough chicks to buy the HRIR's that I really want and have plenty of time between now and then to get them a super coop ready. That's not saying, if the opportunity presents before then, that I won't snag them up sooner..lol..

Rest assured that when the time comes for my questions, I wont hesitate to ask. I will be around for a long time and will drive you all nuts with questions!
