The Heritage Rhode Island Red Site

I got these birds the first week of July. They are from the same line but were hatched at different times. The older ones are around sixteen weeks and the younger ones around 14 weeks. They are still growing in their adult feathers so they look a little ragged but getting darker. None of the four roosters are crowing yet.
A couple of the older ones

One of the younger ones It's comb and primary tail feathers grew in much faster than the older birds. The tail feathers made him look really odd, because for a while they were as long as his body. Everytime I try to take his picture he moves or draws in his neck.

I have gotten two phone calls and three emails since the Poutlry Press came out and all asked did you get your issue yet and see the Rhode Island Red Cockerel on the Front Page?

I told them not yet as I am the last to get the Poutlry Press becasue I live so far south.

Well I got it today and Boy o Boy what a typey dark bird. Grand Champion of the Finger Lakes Show. To the breeder and the owner of this great bird Congratulations .

I wrote a article for the Java Club on how to make a Java Bantam and at the end of the article it was on the page where the Finger Lakes show had thier ads and up in the upper left hand corner was the picture of this male.

I thought how proud Kenny Bowles would be of this male which is half his line and also be happy with the article I wrote which he was the master mentor who advised me on how to make a Rhode Island Red bantam from the large fowl I once had.

Yes it is nice to see a nice looking Rhode Island Red on these pages. All of your large fowl look great and have correct color.
Congratulations
Thank you for trying to keep this thread alive. I lost my pass word and finnaly got it today.

O do any of you know who this master breeder is who had his Red Bantam on the front page of this issue????
