Hi Bob, Do you have a photo of that bird you can post? I asked Matt to send me one, but I guess he's too busy. Are you suggesting that even if this male is not perfect, genetically he could produce some nice offspring?

Is this the correct amount of black on the wing feathers, or should they have more?

Here is No. 95, the easy-going guy who doesn't growl and challenge me when I go in the pen. Does he look brick-shaped enough, or too Vee-shaped?

Bird no.2 looks to have a bad tail and and wing. I would like to see a better side picture of the first bird just because he looks to have a bad wing also.

Type, Type, Type! Back a few pages Chris posted a picture with a rectangle drawn over the bird. See if you can find that & use it to help you learn to see the brick-shape you want to see on a good Red. In addition he's very pinched in his tail & he narrows toward the rear. Colour is the least of his problems.
