The Hidden Door-A Role Play (AKA The Most Dangerous Coffee Shop II)

(Ok, obviously everyone's getting bored of walking. Shall I send you a couple of we-sas to hurry them over to the fountain of youth? Or a manticore or two?)
(MANTICORES ARE COOL)
“Let’s keep going” Aria smiled quickly masking her disappointment in the fact that he obviously didn’t feel the same. The sooner you get over him the better Aria, boys they’ll break your heart
Kylan nodded, walking at her side and glancing at her from time to time.

“It went in that direction.” Sure raised one dirt-smeared arm and pointed to their right. “When it realized you were here, it flew off.”
Kipp glared in the direction she pointed. It was almost like they had gone after her as a distraction to catch him.
"I thought you said the we-sa only attacked people who were alone." He snapped. "I was right there in the tree when they went after you, and they obviously knew I was there the second time. Do you have something that they want?" Kipp kept his wings in tight against his back, his fists both clenched, one gripping the knife so tightly his knuckles were white. His inner voice was nagging at him, telling him all the ways he'd messed up. He should have known better. Their move was so obvious anyone should have seen it coming. And so he blamed her, not because he thought she was at fault, but because he didn't know how else to deal with how angry he was at himself.

“How am I supposed to know?” she demanded, getting upset at herself, too. “If you’re mad at yourself, then be mad at yourself. Don’t take it out on me! When I’m not your emotional punching bag, come talk to me.” Without another word, she turned and stalked off. She was mad at him, but she was even more mad at herself. The plan had been stupid.

(Yeye)
Due to the inactivity of the group, a manticore decided to speed things up a bit. It was gruesome, with several rows of teeth in a man's face. It had a lion's russet body and claws. And it had a long tail with a ball of stinging spikes sticking out of the end. Bat wings hovered over it like death. Most terrifying, however, were it's piercing blue eyes, disturbingly human.
First, it tackled Eve, digging in its lion claws.
It shook it's tail, shooting spikes out of its tail. One of the dart-like spikes caught in Cam's right arm and the paralytic poison began to work immediately. Her arm quickly became about as useful as a dead brown twig.
Simultaneously, the lion creature shot out its great head and took a bite out of Take.
Take was just about to reply to Blair before the manticore pounced in, successfully attacking Eve, Cam, and himself in the few seconds it had been there. His arm was gruesomely torn into, and started to bleed profusely from the flesh that was torn away. Holy sh.. He could definitely feel the agonizing pain, and he wanted to yell his lungs out, but refused to do so, instead wincing horribly and gritting his teeth as he tore his hand away from Blair’s to caress his injured arm.
Hana reacted quickly at the appearance of the manticore, unsheathing her katana and rushing up behind it as it held down Eve. She swung her katana with all her might, slicing half of its thick tail off like it was air. Her body hardened for whatever came next, the texture of her skin becoming jagged, sharp rock.

Eve felt the tears welling behind her eyes, she couldn’t even scream, this was awful, almost as bad as her third grade teacher dying

"RUN!" Kyle screamed as if that weren't obvious. Rylie narrowly dodged a spike from the manticore's tail and ducked undercover, causing Kyle to feel remarkably cowardly. "We need to get out there, Rylie," Kyle whispered. "You can do this."
Rylie crept from the underbrush and faced the creature bravely, staring into the pools of blue. Not blue like the sky... no... blue like an icy blizzard bent on your death, blue like a tumultuous ocean turning over ships in a fiery wrath millions of gallons of water couldn't put out.
And when Kyle looked into those eyes, it wasn't like seeing a bee, or a dog, or stairs. No. It was like looking into the eyes of death itself.
And when Kyle looked into those eyes, he was truly afraid. Like he'd never been before.
That glance was only a moment's passing, but it felt like an eternity. And Rylie ran. Forgetting his bravery. Like Kyle would've done if that cat hadn't done it for him.
-
Cam screamed, even higher in pitch than when Charlie had given her a scare. But this time she remembered to breathe. AFTER she pulled out the quill looking thing. She didn't care if it was protocol, having that thing in her arm wasn't natural.
She numbly realized the fact that now neither of her arms worked, but she hardly paid any attention to that. No. Because her eyes were glued to that... that thing. It's face was the most terrifying thing she'd ever seen, with eyes like diamond knives, and it seriously looked human. But a lion... with wings.
Cam's immediate instinct was to freeze before she realized her only chance was to do what Kyle said. So she willed her legs to move, and spiky plants surrounded the creature.

(smart, getting rid of the dangerous part first)

Eve tried to pull herself to her feet but she couldn’t move it felt as though her throat was on fire
