The Hidden Door-A Role Play (AKA The Most Dangerous Coffee Shop II)

“Andddd lets go” Aria teleported them back to the group “here we are” she declared
"Khorosho." Lilith laughed, eyes twinkling now with playfulness. "Wow, aren't you so impressive, bud. I can do the same, probably better." She bragged, smirking. "I mean, when I last tried at a range. Haven't used an actual gun in forever, can't really carry one at eighteen in the city." She sighed, wincing as Aria teleported them.

"Great, we're back. Miss us?" Lilith snickered, letting go of Aria's hand and stumbling a bit from the jumbled feeling of being teleported. Never gonna get used to that. "Alright, where's my dog?" She called, strutting up to Kylan and collecting Tru before falling back a little.
"I'm happy you're all okay." Kylan smiled, glancing between his three friends. He stopped at Kevin for a moment, dipping his head slightly. "Kevin, good to see a we-sa didn't get'cha." He paused. "I mean, of course, that's since you're our only gunsman and healer." He teased lightheartedly, giving a smirk to signify it was a joke.

Kevin raised an eyebrow. “Oh really? I doubt that. We’ll just have to test that one day. I’ll try not to make you look too bad,” he joked, standing a little taller. He was surprised at how easy it was to talk to Lilith. He didn’t remember the last time he spoke so easily to someone.
He grimaced as the world swirled, arriving next to the group. He fought back nausea. He wasn’t going to get used to that anytime soon. The sensation reminded him of a really fast roller coaster. He gave Aria an appreciative nod, and then turned to Kylan as he spoke. “Apparently the we-sa are smarter than they look. They know I wouldn’t be a good meal.” Kevin joked.

Cam casually reached for the bud of a plant that looked daisylike. She was surprised that when she caused it to bloom a smoky puff of red emerged. She was going to pick it, but remembered the repremandation with the calendus and decided against it. Cam patted her bag -yes, unfortunately the dress did not have pockets- where she had a bag of the powdered flowers. She had collected them when discovering the properties of Borealan flora. They would come in useful some day.
“Okay, we’re mountain climbing. Sounds like we’re gonna die, but it’s fine.” She tromped forward, glad for the fact that she fit into men’s boots. There was no way she would be doing this with Mallie’s boots, even if they were somewhat suited for the outdoors.

Lilith nodded to him, looking out towards the mountains. "Know if there's anything up there we should be worried about? Creatures we should look out for other than the ones we know about, unsafe environment?" She asked, wanting to know everything she could about what they were walking into.
“Griffins, phoenixes, Western dragons. Well, hopefully not those, they tend to be more western. The Rugæ people. Hopefully we’ll avoid those too. And harpies. Don’t worry. They’re friendly. Like I said, we’re gonna skirt these mountains. Seriously... skirt? You don’t have a better word than the bottom part of a dress? No one’s going to take your language seriously when you tell them that,” Korim snorted.

“They wouldn’t make you a meal,” Korim pointed out. “They’d knock you out and bring you to Mobrikum.”

Kylan chuckled, shaking his head with a grin. "Dunno, man. Maybe they like that kinda stuff, who knows? Lookin' at them I'd say the eat garbage all the time so you'd be a change of taste. Or maybe you taste the same, who am I to judge?" He snickered to the taller man with a devilishly playful looking in his eyes before moving off.

Lilith turned back to him, remembering he'd teased her before she began speaking to Korim. "We just will, won't we? Oh, and you goin' easy on me as to not make me look bad? Nope, nada, not gonna happen. I'll be the one having to go easy on you, if anything." She folded her arms sassily. "Just you wait, bucko."

Lilith turned back to Korim, head spinning a little. Holding two conversations at once was not a good idea, Lili. She cocked an eyebrow, breathing in a little at the mention of the mythical creatures. Why am I surprised? I've seen dire wolves, manticores, and dragons. Nothing should shock me at this point. "Sound great, just bloody great... What's up with the Rugae people?" She asked, frowning a little. That didn't sound so good. But harpies are... Bird dudes? Right?
She laughed at his last comment. "Yeah, no. We don't even take English seriously half the time."
Her eyes drifted over Kylans face. She hated this feeling of not being certain that his brother would be fine, she swallowed her uncertainty, she had to make sure she remained positive for Kylans sake because there were so many negative people
Kylan looked over at her, smiling sweetly. "How'd it go?" He asked softly, eyes kind. "Hope you didn't run into any wolves or manticores, 'ey?" He joked.

“It went fine” she said looking At the ground. She glanced back up giving him A quick smile

Hana continued on with the group, never growing concerned or worried when a few members disappeared to go look for the Russian man. She knew they would eventually come back and join up with them again. Her humming ceased when the terrain started to change subtly as they grew closer to the cascade of mountains. “They’re all the way up there..?” she whispered under her breath, expecting to see some sort of visible stronghold out in the open. In fact, she didn’t know what to expect at this point and it made sense for the place to be hidden if it’s holding kidnapped children. She sped up a little so that she was walking alongside the werewolf girl and her canine companion. After hearing that she was able to track their scents, it intrigued her a bit. “Are you able to catch their scents from all the way out here? Your boyfriend and.. niece?” she asked in a deep menacing tone, but it was her natural way of speaking even when she was intending to be polite. She never came across werewolves before in San Francisco, so she had little to no knowledge on how strong their noses could be, so she guessed it could be a good as a blood hound?

“They’re wary of outsiders. A little rough around the edges. Savage, is what I mean. They’re not the biggest reason why we’re avoiding them, though. As I said: Griffins. Phoenixes. Dragons. Rock slides. Trolls. Well... those aren’t so bad. Goblins. Also, it takes a long time to go through,” Korim said.

Blair glanced at the masked woman momentarily. She gave her strange vibes, even though so far she had proven herself useful and indifferent. Kit was glad to have company, though, and finally quit whining about not wanting to walk anymore. "No." She shook her head, keeping her gaze on the trail. "If I did, the group would be way further behind me then it is now." Silently, however, she doubted that they were this way. Her sense of smell was similar to a dogs, and even stronger if she let her wolf side have control, and if she couldn't pick up any scent from where she was...
Either it was washed away somehow, or they're in a completely different spot. The we-sa had wings, though, so maybe they flew...
"
Take's safe, right now anyway. I can...feel it. But Emma and the others..." She knew Take was alive merely because she still felt the occasional flicker of emotion that wasn't the wolf's or her own, but she couldn't tell with Emma. She had hoped the soulmate bond had some other way of connection, telepathy or otherwise, but no. Nothing like the stories. "Let's just hope we aren't too late."

“How many days will it take to pass these mountains?” Kyle asked.
“Four, in the very least,” Korim said. “I’ve never been this way before, however. I might not make the best guide. The Rugæ would be faster at it. It’ll probably take longer.”
“That’s actually not as bad as I thought,” Cam said. She had been imagining a rather longer adventure.
