The Hidden Door-A Role Play (AKA The Most Dangerous Coffee Shop II)

“I know,” she answered. “I wouldn’t expect you to. The kids need you. Besides, this is my fight, not yours. My people trapped you and hurt you. It’s for me to make things right.”
Kipp didn't know what to say. It was his fight too, Take was still back there. It had been his decision to give up on him earlier. Arguing with her wouldn't accomplish anything. He didn't want her getting caught, but that seemed inevitable. He looked down at the handful of rough broadleafed grass in his hand. He didn't have anything to give her, no way to be helpful.
Kipp stuck his hand in his pocket. He did have one thing. Not that it would be terribly helpful. And last time he attempted to give it to someone didn't go as planned.

"Take this." He said stepping toward her and holding out a small speckled marble. "I want it back. So, don't go dying ok." The current situation reminded him a lot of when he'd gotten the marble. Maybe it would give her the same protection it had given him, so long ago.

She looked down at it, touched by the gesture. “What is it for?”

Take pouted, “You spineless fool..” his hand burned into the mans skin as he drained him of his remaining energy, just as he did to Blair in the bug infested castle. He waited for the man to faint before searching his body for the keys then tossing him on top of Trintan. He freed himself from his shackles and then from his cell after a moment or two of searching through the assortment of keys. When he stepped out, he took a deep breath, steam emitting from his cuts and wounds as they healed, especially the grotesque scars on his back that refused to heal properly. A guard charged at him with his spear, but it was futile when Take ripped the spear from the guards hands and pierced it through his assailant.

Take sprinted to where Blair was being held, excitement filling him as he launched himself on the bars of her cell. His tail waved as he looked her up and down, “You’ve gotten yourself into a predicament here..” he commented with a devious smile, holding the ring of keys in his right hand.
Blair's rain of attacks on the door came to a halt, her body stiffening to surpress a flinch. She refused to look away from the demon, staring him dead in the eyes. If the demon was anything like the wolf, he'd find any weak spot he could and tear away at it.
Let me out! Let me at him. I've missed having fun. Go away.
"Your point?" She snapped, catching sight of the keys in his hand. She looked back at his face, her own hand slowly releasing the bar and slipping through it carefully. "Why do you care? Not like you like me." Her hand inched out of the bars even further, her heart racing, deafening in her ears.

Take hung onto the bars like a monkey, adjusting his hold higher when Blair reached out to grab the keys. “True” he agreed immediately, “But you want these, right?” he asked, followed up by jingling the keys in a taunting manner. “Freedom? Save your niece?”

He looked down at the rounded piece of glass, not sure himself what it was for other than being pretty. He'd heard that there used to be a game called marbles, but had never played it.
"Hope?"
A reason to keep going, when there aren't any other reasons left. He wanted to promise to wait for her. That they would meet her and Take down at the river. But he didn't expect her to be coming back, and couldn't put the kids in danger waiting for something that would never happen.

“What if I took the kids to the river and you went with Ashira?” Fred offered

Torin's eyes widened at being given bread, a smile spreading easily over his dirty face. "Thank you!" He gasped, noticing her pat beast-Chion.
"That's Chion," He blurted, deciding to inform the woman that she wasn't just some animal. "she's actually a shapeshifter. Not that thing." He rambled, the last part becoming muffled as he began to hungrily devour his bread. He wished desperately there was water to wash it down with its cool wetness, but he was content enough to just be free from their momentary slavery.

Kylan frowned, worry tugging at his stomach. "Do you need to stop and rest?" He asked softly, not sure of what to do. They did need to rest and eat sometimes, but that also meant more time not spent trekking towards Torin, and he was keen on that idea. But if Aria needed it, she needed it.

"Kevin's right," Kylan murmured, watching them. "no one said how far we'd keep teleporting. At least give it a break until you can get some energy back, okay, Ari?" He said, eyes concerned.
He glanced at Lilith, who had sided up to them, and she gave him an agreeing nod.
“Okay” Aria whispered closing her eyes “do you have any water?” She asked

Kipp sighed giving Fred a sad smile. "I don't know about you, but I'm barely standing. I'm not gonna make it all the way back up the hill. I don't think I can get to the river either. Not right now." He didn't know how he'd managed to get this far.
