The Hidden Door-A Role Play (AKA The Most Dangerous Coffee Shop II)

Aria flicked her hair over her shoulder raising her eyebrows “really? Towering intimidation?”
"Towering? Yes. Intimidation? No. If I knew much of my family, I'd say it was a family curse. But I'll just say it's a me curse, being tall." Lilith said, shifting her weight.
She mimicked Aria, flicking back a curl that since her last haircut had grown long. "Why? What's it, a competition?" She poked playful, before turning. "Okay, but actually. What's going on? Why am I here, or any of us, for that matter? Who moved us across the map like we're chess pieces?"

"That's it, this is the new United... World, I dub it." Lilith joked. "Oh, really, is that so? And why would that be? I'm obviously the one you all can't get enough of with my amazing personality, and all."

"Aw, funny, Buttercup. You're just so happy to see me again, huh? I'm endeared." She said, crossing her arms. "Yeah, somebody screwed up."

“Yes, I’m thrilled,” Kevin replied. He watched Lilith and Aria argue over who had the better personality, and shook his head. “Guys, stop. You both have great personalities. Really, there’s no competition between you two. Besides, I think we all know I’m the best.” Kevin joked. He frowned, lighting up his hand so they could see better. “Maybe we should try the portal again. I can’t get home from here. They won’t even let me in the airport without a valid ID or passport.” He said, obviously worried.

“I will be once She gets off me” Ellie’s muffled voice muttered angrily. Eve accepted the offered hand glancing down at Ellie who was glaring at Eve. Aria on the other hand was already up and peering around drawing a conclusion that they were in some place in the USA.
Hana helped Eve up and investigated further in the enclosed storage room, noticing that was mostly bare. There was a single rug, sink, some cat food, a water dish, and a large plastic doll house that she would’ve loved to have as a child. “This is Kyle’s home.. it’s really cute.”

She gave a small chuckle as she listened to Aria’s and Lilith’s playful squabble. She crouched down and observed the components of the doll house, “I don’t know why we were all teleported to Kyle’s place instead of our respective homes... Laurel probably messed it up?”

“No idea. My parents are going to absolutely FREAK” Aria shrugged.

Eve nodded lingering next to Hana

“I could try teleporting but I would need to be feeling 100% but I’m not and I don’t think anyone really feels 100% at the moment” Aria frowned

“Yeah, and I doubt you could teleport to the other side of the world,” Kevin said. He sighed, shaking his head. “I’ll have to figure something out. Maybe I could get my parents to mail me my ID...” but that would take way too long.

Lilith chuckled, smiling. "Maybe... But what if it closes behind us?" She said, shrugging. "I can drive some of you to your homes if we can get buses to my apartment and I can get my car, but I doubt I'll be driving to Russia or Sydney, or Japan."

"Well..." Lilith sighed. "Laurel's got some explaining to do." She shook her head, putting her hands on her hips. "Maybe we should check outside? We could find something out, like how close to a town we are, for now. Maybe we could call people on public phones to pick some of us up, and send us IDs." Lilith offered, before shrugging. "Do they have a phone you could call, Kev?"

Kevin nodded. “Yeah, they do. My parents don’t answer unknown calls though. Oh! My brother! He was visiting the US, he has been for a while now. Maybe he can help me.” Kevin said. He hadn’t seen his brother in a year or two, and the thought of seeing him again made him happy. Maybe being here wasn’t such a bad thing after all. “Does someone have phone I can borrow?” He asked. He used to have a phone, but after he had no use for it and it broke, he never replaced it.

Kipp stood gazing through the wavy, rippling darkness, his eyes focusing on what looked like a red metal shipping container. Despite his reluctance to face his family after being away for so long he missed home. Staying here had really only been considered an option if they had been unable to find a way back. Not that he dislike it here, once they had gotten rid of Olim, this place hadn't been all that bad. The locals were all more than appreciative, offering to let them stay with them, giving them clothes, and food, and really anything they could possibly want or need.

He felt bad accepting anything from them though, only took what he felt he needed. Which is how he wound up wearing the odd outfit he had on. Some kind of traditional formal wear for Harpies. Loose flowing pants with multiple belts, that would have been pointless if he hadn't been wearing a sword on his hip, and a bag on the other. He had been using it for medical supplies, but now it only held snacks.
The top if it could even be called that, consisted of a blue collar, supporting loose sleeves. It had taken him a while to stop fidgeting with the band, but now it felt normal enough. He would have preferred a real shirt though, still not comfortable showing of his bare stomach and chest.
His feathers had for the most part grown back in though his wings still looked a bit shorter than they should. Even though it would be harder to prove what had happened here, he was glad that the healers had been able to get rid of the marks from his short visit to Olim's work camp.

He sighed breathing in the cool air as it passed over his face. It was time to go home.

Kipp looked over at Take, he suspected he'd want to stay. Though he thought Take would have said so earlier, before they'd hiked back out to the marble platform where they'd first come through to Borealis. He didn't know what to say. He knew there was nothing he could say to change his mind. If he hadn't had family back on Earth he'd likely be staying too. The thought of flat out saying goodbye though, it didn't sound right. He knew him to well to just say only that.

Kipp smiled warmly and nodded at Cam who had interrupted his thoughts, turning his eyes back to the dark circle torn into the air. Home. I want to go home.

A smirk pulled up a corner of his face as a thought came to mind for what to say. He had never much cared for musicals but it would fit. Kipp turned, putting a hand on Cams shoulder as he stepped past her toward Take and Kyle.

"So long, Farewell, auf wiedersehen, adieu." he sang. Waving his arms and wings, though less dramatically than was in the movie, and bowing at the end. "Adieu, adieu, to you and you and you." He mimicked the accent the character had as he nodded to Take, Kyle, and Rylie. He could feel his cheeks heating up in embarrassment his voice getting quieter as he went. Kipp huffed a small laugh as he finished, shrugging looking away. "I'll miss you guys."
Take ran through his hair, which was now healthier and the bald spots had grown to become even with the rest of his hair. He kept it short though, like it was back in September. He nodded slowly, “Yeah.. I’ve been thinking about it beforehand.. trying to persuade myself why I should go back home.. but there’s really nothing for me there... in Los Angeles. My landlady most likely threw out all my stuff a long time ago... I don’t have my jobs anymore.. Elias is living his life like any ordinary old druid.” His hands tugged on the collar laces of his white long-sleeve shirt tentatively, “Besides, I can’t just go live with you or whatever, you already got things going on at your house, and your school life, dancing, family, all that.” A warm, endearing smile spread across his face, “I’ll be good here Blair. I’ll come visit you when I can. Just don’t worry about me, even though you will anyways. I still got lots of things to experience here, like riding a huge dragon and taming it to be my buddy.” He definitely felt that he could accomplish many quests and adventures out here, especially since his demon was sealed away a month ago.
“Well?” Cam asked, gently laying her right hand on Kipp’s shoulder, clutching Noah’s hand with her left. “Should we go through?” The portal swayed before her, and the crowds around her seemed to disappear as her mind seemed to chant home home home home.
“Goodbye!” Kyle said. He shifted the weight of the quiver on his hip and leapt gracefully to Rylie’s back. He was clad in green now, with a weapon of the little people. A few peered in from the trees, watching and whispering.
Rylie meowed a mournful farewell.
“Adieu!” Korim called in return to Kipp. He stood in the crowd among his brothers and family. Finally they had been allowed permission to travel in the Laefeslay. Yes, it was still dangerous, but that was the nature of Borealis. Cruel and beautiful. And he loved it. He and his brother’s looked perhaps cleaner than they’d ever been, wearing clean blue. Timit no longer fluttered over head. He was “on duty” as he said. He and a spit fire golden she-dragon had built a nest together, determined to figure out a way to hatch Kevin’s eggs.
Elon and the elves watched from the trees, singing, clothed in white.
