Once Fred’s back was healed he stomped over to Kipp “am I supposed to say ‘thanks’?” He demanded “I would’ve been fine till we got home, my back would have been alright.” He shook his head gritting his teeth “and now I have essentially waisted Kevin’s precious time which could have been spent healing those kids from Borealis.” Fred sighed, why weren’t him and Kipp getting along like they used to? Had they just grown apart? Or was it something deeper?

Kipp slipped out of the creepy hidden tunnel, instantly confronted with Fred. He rolled his eyes at him after jumping at his uncanny way of appearing out of thin air when ever he wanted to be alone. Of course it would be Fred who found him first.

"Yes. Yes you are. When exactly do you foresee us getting home?" He asked, gesturing to the cave walls. "Is there an open portal back home that I'm unaware of?"

There was admittedly the glowing stone tablet in the room far down the tunnel behind him, but there was no telling where it would take them, probably back to the cave they'd come from, if he wanted to guess.

"It wasn't a waste of Kevin's time or energy. An infection will kill you. What you're saying is you think your life is worth less than someone else's, and it's pissing me off!"

(apparently Kipp's still in a mood. XD)

“But those kids have lashes on their back, I’m sure they would end up with infections too. I’m not saying my life is worth less than anyone else’s but those kids will die with too much blood loss Kipp.” Fred sighed “whatever you obviously can’t be bothered to listen to me so I will just go.” Fred stormed out the cave, he needed to clear his head and obviously going out the cave away from everyone was just the way to do it, it was also the way to get yourself kidnapped or murdered or lost.

Hana had returned to the group when she heard the sudden growth of loud voices in the back of the cave. In particular was Take’s loud voice that easily stood out from the others. She clutched her pack tightly as she investigated the scene. The golden light from the precious metals illuminated on the faces that were obviously not there a couple minutes ago. She was filled with bewilderment at the sight of her group mates and the missing children. How did they get here? What is this..? They all looked bedraggled and filthy, with a built up layer of dirt upon their skin. What bothered her most were the lesions some of them had on their backs, completely bare of covering from any sort of clothing. Of course she would notice Take’s lack of shirt, but those sights were impervious to her. Finally removing herself from being idle, Hana visited each of the starved individuals, offering them either the Borealian native fruits or dried meat from her pack with an expressionless masked face and gesture for them to pick and choose.

Kipp followed him out into the torrential rain storm, grabbing him by the arm to stop him.

"Stop running away!" Kipp yelled, pulling Fred into a tight hug. "I'm listening." He said, his voice still sounding angry.

He put his hands on Fred's shoulders pushing him back before it got awkward, though looking him in the face wasn't much better. At least it was dark and Fred probably couldn't see him. "You, are one of my best friends, and I... don't have the slightest clue how to be someones friend, but not letting you die counts for something, right?"

Fred nodded a little shocked, he hadn’t expected Kipp to go after him. “Yeah it counts for something” he said still a little shaken
