“Yep,” Korim answered. “And you are...?”The troubled and confused look on Fred's face told her he didn't understand. She didn't know what else to say to him though. Not being able to communicate frustrating.
"I never should have become one of those stinking Tragdars." She said standing with a huff, and making her way over to Korim.
She dipped her head curtsying as best she could with the extra long dress, and smiling up at him. She wasn't used to asking permission to become someone, but if they were going to be friends it was best to ask.
"You're a linguist right?"
“Selena -that is your name, right?-“ Kyle looked at Selena (is that her name?) like he expected her to answer him in English. “Tells me this: Olim, the one people don’t like talking about very much, is basically a hive mind controlling a great number of deadly mythical beasts along with a small number of associates. With the control of these, he is able to strike fear into the Borealans and he caused those in Mobrikam, the fortress that can never be spelled in the same way twice, the fortress above Dakrium, to become his slaves.
Laborers in Dakrium and the slave farms, Cornomen, are working to be able to arm and feed an army. Olim’s power is increasing daily. Soon he won’t need the help of his free associates to twist the minds of people into his will. He won’t make them into we-sas, they’ll have all their abilities intact, which will actually be more powerful. We-sas need stealth to be successful. But she doesn’t know what he’s using the army for. I have some ideas.”
“Sure you don’t” Take jeered, taking her hand and rising to his feet. “Well what ever happens today, I got your back alright?” He’s already confident that Blair knows this, but he just wanted to have her hear it from his lips. His hand squeezes hers for a moment before heading over to Kyle’s gathering."I do not have a coffee addiction." That was a lie. But maybe if she said it indignantly enough it would come across as the truth. Probably not, though. She lifted her head off his shoulder, shrugging. "I think so. Something like that, I haven't been paying attention." She snorted at his remark, pulling herself into a more upright position and crossing her legs. "If only," she murmured, stretching her arms and legs, her muscles stiff, hearing her bones crack, making her wince even though it didn't hurt. The sound wasn't very pleasant. "If we don't run for our lives, I'll be fine. But knowing this place, our luck isn't that great." She was both joking and not, as she stood, offering Take her hand, planning to go see what everyone else was discussing.
As Kyle talks, explaining Olims plans and such, Take just phases out, imagining a giant floating bee hive as a possible explanation for what a ‘hive mind’ was and him jumping straight through the hive with a giant fist, breaking through the colony. Are we gonna fight bees again...?“Exactly, Aella,” Kyle said. “Now like I said, this is just my theory, and you can certainly throw out other ideas. Why would Olim be assembling an army? He wants technology, and power.”
Borealis, being so big and rustic and not very explored isn’t very easy to control, and there isn’t much to be gained by that anyways. But Earth is globalized and we know where everything is. They also don’t know what’s coming. He probably thinks he can strike them by surprise and make them surrender. Then he can take our tech and do the same thing to Borealis, probably. Then he’d be the ruler of two dimensions. Now he might not be trying to take over Earth, but I think he’s been scouting it already.”
All the silliness that had been creeping into Kipp's head disappeared. Olim, the person responsible for what was happening in the mines, was trying to take over Earth?“Anyways,” said Kyle, “I think Olim is trying to take over Earth.

"Chion Easwed. I'm, " She was going to say where she was from, and who her parents were, as formalities required, but it seemed pointless at the moment. The mood in the cave had shifted from sleepy quiet chatter to anxious loud conversation and she wanted to know what was going on. "I'm a mimic. Would you mind? Could I become you, so that I know what's going on?"“Yep,” Korim answered. “And you are...?”
The child had a dress that was adorably too big for her and a head of beautiful blond hair. Probably an elf, judging by her ears.
“I don’t know that Selena (because no one had told Kyle he was saying her name wrong, lol) knows how his power is increasing, but she seems certain that it is. So while he can’t control many people now, I suppose that may change in the future. But it’s a chance we’ll have to take, if we ever want to get home.”All the silliness that had been creeping into Kipp's head disappeared. Olim, the person responsible for what was happening in the mines, was trying to take over Earth?
The thought of We-sa going through to Earth was bad enough, but they weren't even the worst he had to offer?
Mind control, hive mind. That must have been how he was controlling the we-sa, but they weren't being controlled while they were in the mine. Unless, Olim wanted them to escape? Kipp blinked around at the others who he'd been with for the past few days. Everyone still seemed like themselves.
"I don't think he can control just anyone. Or maybe controlling a lot of people at once is hard."
“You’re a mimic?” Korim asked. He hadn’t noticed the girl until that morning, and had noticed the disappearance of a tregedar, now that he thought about it. Mimics were super rare, even rarer than shapeshifters. He had met one once in his life."Chion Easwed. “Maybe...but it’s a definite possibility I mean we haven’t even met this guy, god knows what he is capable of. He could take us all out so I think we need to find out more before we go straight in there demanding that he cease trying to overthrow earths leaders.” Aria saidAll the silliness that had been creeping into Kipp's head disappeared.
