The Hidden Door-A Role Play (AKA The Most Dangerous Coffee Shop II)

“Trying to take over earth? Is his power mind control? Because if it is he can seize control of us therefor making us turn against our own allies” Aria pointed out
Hana was quietly listening more in the background, choosing not to make any comments. She was instinctively thinking about the chances Olim had to control any members of their party as mentioned by Aria. She observed every individual in the cave, singling out the ones who held special abilities and powers. They would ultimately be crushed if Kylan, Take, Blair, Aella, Cam, and Ellie were to be turned against them. "Eve could easily end us all if Olim were to control her..." she murmured dispassionately.

“I don’t know that Selena (because no one had told Kyle he was saying her name wrong, lol) knows how his power is increasing, but she seems certain that it is. So while he can’t control many people now, I suppose that may change in the future. But it’s a chance we’ll have to take, if we ever want to get home.”

“You’re a mimic?” Korim asked. He hadn’t noticed the girl until that morning, and had noticed the disappearance of a tregedar, now that he thought about it. Mimics were super rare, even rarer than shapeshifters. He had met one once in his life.
After a few seconds of gaping at this he asked “You want to become me?” he pointed at himself and laughed, imagining a young version of himself wearing a dress. That would look kind of stupid, but he could laugh off that sort of thing.
His laughing seemed like a "No." To her, if there hadn't been another option she'd have been forced to beg him to let her. But since there was still Ashira to ask, she simply pouted, waiting for his definite answer.

“Maybe...but it’s a definite possibility I mean we haven’t even met this guy, god knows what he is capable of. He could take us all out so I think we need to find out more before we go straight in there demanding that he cease trying to overthrow earths leaders.” Aria said
Kipp sighed quietly swearing under his breath as he dropped his gaze to the floor. Saving those kids had seemed simple enough. Protecting Earth, they'd all managed it before, so surely it was possible. But going up against some overpowered evil guy? He couldn't see how they could possibly win. Especially not if he could take control of any of them when ever he wanted.

He wanted to suggest they go back to where ever they were coming from to 'regroup'. But he knew his own minds tricks. He was scared, and wanted to run. Find a safe place and never leave. Any wasted time, would mean Olim would be stronger when they were eventually forced to face him. They couldn't run. There was no where to go.

"What about the Rugae?" He asked, looking worriedly up at Korim, and interrupting his conversation with Chion. "Would they fight with us? Or the Harpies, or both?" He wasn't going to rule out anyone just because they wouldn't like them showing up on their doorstep. This was their world on the line too, their families and children. Surely they'd be willing to help.

“Exactly, Eve is probably the most dangerous because one word could kill us all.” Aria said

"That's not entirely fair." He said coming to her defense, now distracted from the questions he'd posed to Korim. "She could be the only one here who could take him down." He said angrily. "Actually... Isn't there someone here who can teleport people?"

Hana hummed along to her words, how would they prevent such a thing from happening? Were they even capable of fighting each other off if they were turned against each other? She knew her own weaknesses, which would just to take her katana away and tie her up together to prevent her from surfacing her hardening abilities.

“Yeah me.” Aria frowned “I can teleport, but I don’t see how that is going to get us out of trouble. And all I meant was her power in the wrong hands could be used as a weapon, particularly if she can’t fight the control.”

“Exactly, Aella,” Kyle said. “Now like I said, this is just my theory, and you can certainly throw out other ideas. Why would Olim be assembling an army? He wants technology, and power.”
Borealis, being so big and rustic and not very explored isn’t very easy to control, and there isn’t much to be gained by that anyways. But Earth is globalized and we know where everything is. They also don’t know what’s coming. He probably thinks he can strike them by surprise and make them surrender. Then he can take our tech and do the same thing to Borealis, probably. Then he’d be the ruler of two dimensions. Now he might not be trying to take over Earth, but I think he’s been scouting it already.”
Aella underestimated the little man. For such a tiny thing, he had quite the brilliant mind. Now that she thought about it, it made sense. People, in this case people was Olim, always wanted power. They wanted control, and they wanted to rule whatever they could. If Olim could steal Earth's technology, he'd have exactly what he wanted: for people to surrender and bend to his will.
And along the way create chaos and mayhem amongst everything else on Earth. What better way to scare people into submitting to you then becoming one of the most powerful beings?
“Sure you don’t” Take jeered, taking her hand and rising to his feet. “Well what ever happens today, I got your back alright?” He’s already confident that Blair knows this, but he just wanted to have her hear it from his lips. His hand squeezes hers for a moment before heading over to Kyle’s gathering.

As Kyle talks, explaining Olims plans and such, Take just phases out, imagining a giant floating bee hive as a possible explanation for what a ‘hive mind’ was and him jumping straight through the hive with a giant fist, breaking through the colony. Are we gonna fight bees again...?
"I know." Blair grinned at him, following after him. She had no doubt in her mind that he would, and she'd do the exact same for him. It didn't even have to be said between them– either way they would cover for each other no matter what.
And that alone made things a little less scary.
"Makes sense, to me. If he successfully does it, then he'll have all the control he wants, over the Boreleans and Earth people as well." A thought crossed her mind as she listened to the conversations in the background. They were ultimately screwed if most of the group got turned against them. She'd seen only glimpses of what Take and his demon could do uncontrolled. Cam could easily command the flora to her will, and that alone could to so much damage. Ellie and her lasers, Aella's pyrokenies...
Her. If Olim got a hold of her, she didn't know what would happen. A cold shudder ran down her spine, and she no longer needed her beloved caffeine to keep her awake.
Eve.
They were all screwed if any of them got controlled, but Eve...She was the ultimate weapon. The sword among kitchen knives. Who wouldn't want control of a voice that could kill masses with a singular word?
She looked at Take briefly, her slightly widened gaze falling to Eve. "We're screwed," she whispered.

Eve noticed the conversation about mind control, she placed a hand on her forehead. No, this could not be happening. It would be bad enough to have any one of the group under mind control but her? Death. It meant instant death for anyone and everyone around her. She couldn’t abandon the group either because they may need her to kill Olim but at the same time if he took her...Eve swallowed. A disaster would occur if he forced her to speak, she would take the lives of everyone including Olim himself. Eve placed her head in her hands shaking all over, how could she even comprehend this? The chances of him seizing control of her where high, extremely high, it would kill everyone without him needing to even be in the line of fire.

Kyle was surprised that everyone had accepted his theory right away, a little impressed, but also slightly disappointed that he didn’t get a chance to give his evidence.
“Yes, Eve could. But I think it’s a chance we need to take. This would be our last stand. It’s probably the only way we could get back home. If we don’t die doing that he’ll probably end up killing us in some other way.”

I’ve never been mimiced by a Mimic before. I’d be honored if a Mimic took my form,” Korim said.

“I don’t know about that,” said Korim. “Like I said, the Rugæ aren’t exactly our friends. We’ll already be indebted to them, and very fortunate, if they send us a guide. And even if Olim takes over the whole of Borealis, it won’t affect them very much. They’re remote and don’t have anything that he would want. I fear that the Rugæ just don’t care.”
