The Hidden Door-A Role Play (AKA The Most Dangerous Coffee Shop II)

Charlie sighed in a dramatic sort of way. “Whatever you say, Kipp.” He said, the turned to stare at the troll he had been looking at earlier. “Sorry, bro, you aren’t that ugly.” He said, a grin on his face.
Charlie looked at Kipp. “You wanted me to say sorry, but now you want to poke one?”
Kipp looked at him and shrugged. "There's a whole bunch of them, who knows how many more too. Maybe poking is a bad idea. I don't know, what do you think we should do?"

He didn't know if it would work, but it was worth a try. "We come in peace, please don't kill us."
Charlie raised his eyebrows. He hadn’t expected Kipp to actually do it. “As if they could kill us.” He muttered, though quietly, because he didn’t want to be scolded by Kipp again for hurting the trolls’ feelings.

Kipp caught the flying Noah, looking around frantically for a looming shadow of a we-sa. Instead what he saw was an adorable little creature with giant feet and a funky hairdo. And then another, and another, as several appeared from behind stones.

He stopped to look at them curiously, a bit nervous that they could be carnivorous. But they looked harmless enough.
Noah sighed with relief once he realized what they were. He thought he'd seen enough strange things on Borealis to know what was threatening or not.
Oh, good, he sees them too. Charlie gave Kipp a sideways look. “Why would they speak English?” He asked incredulously. He waved his hand at one of them. “Maybe they think ‘ugly’ is a compliment.”
"Nah, it's a verb in their language," Korim said. "If it helps any, they're calling you ugly right now." The trolls were chirping and chattering in their language.
"Yes. And stop saying things are ugly to their face. They probably already know it." Kipp set Noah back down on the ground figuring he was probably fine now, and didn't need to be carried. Walking over to crouch next to Charlie, and get a closer look at one of the critters.

They didn't seem all that afraid of them, so they were either really stupid, or terribly strong. "Do you think they'd leave us alone if we poked one with a stick?"
"No, as long as you don't poke them with a stick, they'll leave us alone," Korim said. "So please do n... NOAH BY STARS!"
Noah had found a stick, somehow on this barren scree slope, and was now caught in the act of poking one with it, due to Kipp's wonderful suggestion. But it was already too late.
Fire was already in the trolls' dead grey eyes.
"RUUUUUUNNNN!" Korim screamed. Cam began to stumble west, so he added "UPHILL!"
Like the opposite of a rockslide, the trolls rolled up into little stone balls and rolled up towards the group. going as fast as you could hope to go uphill.

Charlie looked at Korim, about to ask how he knew what a troll was saying. Then, he remembered that Korim was a linguist.

Charlie looked at the trolls and cursed, grabbing Alex’s hand and pulling him up the hill with the others.

Kevin got to his feet, swinging his gun over his back and putting his chickens in the pouch across his chest. He really didn’t want to leave just yet, and was still exhausted, but he wasn’t going to complain.
He silently followed the others, trailing in the back. As the small, rock-like creatures with fluffy gray hair emerged, his hand drifted to the stock of his old shotgun. He wasn’t sure if they would pose a threat, but didn’t want to be taken off guard if they did.
As Noah poked one of the trolls with a stick, Kevin winced, mentally telling himself to not let the boy near any of his animals.
He didn’t have much time to prepare, before Korim screamed at them to run. Quickly deciding he wasn’t going to waste his ammo, he ran after everyone else, hearing the rolling of the trolls close behind him.
Well, this is one way to properly wake up. He thought, glancing behind him. He kept his eyes open for anyone falling down. His younger brother had made him watch enough scary movies when they were younger to know what would happen if someone tripped.

Charlie raised his eyebrows. He hadn’t expected Kipp to actually do it. “As if they could kill us.” He muttered, though quietly, because he didn’t want to be scolded by Kipp again for hurting the trolls’ feelings.
Kipp stood and ran a hand through his greasy hair, he was starting to think just about everything in this dimension could kill them.

Run? Running this early in the morning was likely to make him sick to his stomach again. But run he did, not that he was particularly afraid of small living balls chasing them up the hill. It seemed almost too silly that a group of almost thirty or so people were running away. But Korim was from here, and knew what they were, and what kind of a threat they posed. Maybe it was more dramatic than he thought, he couldn't help grinning though as they ran.

Hana was quick to act when Korim screamed for the group to run. She sprinted alongside everyone else, trying to not to lag behind up the incline. She hadn’t expected these living rocks to react so violently and pursue them. But of course, a child had to provoke a creature they were completely unfamiliar with. She frequently looked over her shoulder, hoping the rocks would retreat. There was no way we would use her katana on them, but if she hardened, she could kick some of them away then eventually be overpowered. Nope, keep running.
