The Hidden Door-A Role Play (AKA The Most Dangerous Coffee Shop II)

“Yeeeeees?” Cam asked, looking at Kipp sideways. Wasn’t that obvious? Why would he bring it up now? “Wait. Did I speak out loud?” She didn’t think she had been thinking about plants, she had been thinking about ice cream. “Nope,” she decided. Was he trying to strike up a conversation awkwardly? “What do you you like?”

"Me?" His eyes got big every answer to that question disappearing from his head like ice in a hot pot. "Uhhh...." His face screwed up several different ways as he tried to come up with anything at all. "I like....." Things?! Why do I not know what I like? Anything say anything! He cleared his throat hoping it would give an excuse why he wasn't answering. "Puffins?" Do I like puffins? What even are they, some kind of bird? Don't ask why. Please don't ask why. He turned his burning face away from her, hoping to hide the fact that he was having a minor meltdown.
"What about you?"

"Puffins?" Cam asked. "Why puffins? I mean, they're really cute... but why? I find it hard to believe that you could have the same level of obsession with puffins as I do plants."
Now that she thought about it though, dudes rarely got as obsessed about things as girls did, and there definitely wasn't one who could match her obsession with plants.
(Cam isn't supposed to be awkward, but it feels like Kipp's awkwardness is contagious and spreads to everyone around him)

Why? Why puffins? I should have said penguins, I at least know what they are. He resisted the urge to rub his hand across his face.
"Uhhh, you know... They look like toucans?" Do they? He couldn't remember. "But not? They... can swim." I think, "In cold water." He'd regurgitated all the information about them he could remember. He sucked in a sharp breath hoping that was all she'd ask him about them. "You like," Don't say fish, don't say fish! "Arctic birds?" Better than fish.

Kevin looked over at Hana, surprised she had approached him. From what he had seen, she preferred to stick in the back, to herself. When she actually spoke to him, he was even more surprised.
“My chickens?” Kevin asked, and then shrugged, looking down at the bag full of disgruntled birds. “They’ll live.”
He glanced at her out of the corner of his eye, silently examining her sword. It appeared to be very well made, and looked like it could take and inflict a lot of damage. “Nice sword,” he murmured, not knowing what else to say.
Hana nodded to his words. She didn’t know much about chickens, but they were resilient for how long they’ve been on Borealis. Of course she meant ‘had not been eaten yet’. She dipped her head and thanked him, “My grandfather gifted it to me some years ago.” she shared, her hand lightly brushing against the hilt of the katana.

Take let Charlie and Fred be, choosing to think of other ideas to pitch to Charlie later on. Being invisible definitely had a its advantages in the prank area and the possibilities were endless. He returned her light smack with some of his own on her arm, “Blairrrrr!” he whined softly, trying to mimic her voice over dramatically. Now he was acting just like a kid to mess with her, most because he was bored and she would be pretty used to it by now.
Blair grinned at him, laughing softly. She knew he was just acting childish, but she didn't mind. If it kept him from causing more trouble among the younger members of the group, it was even better.
She tapped him lightly on the nose with a finger, a playful glint in her eyes. "I got your nose," she announced.

"Uh. That was random. I mean, yeah, I guess." Cam said. "But it's so random!"

Take’s hand flew up to his nose, eyes widening. No one had ever taken his nose before, but yet it happened right this instant. “You better give me my damn nose back or else” he said in all seriousness, giving a false threat. His eyes were glued on the hand that ‘snatched’ his nose and he slowly reached out to retrieve it.

"Uh. That was random. I mean, yeah, I guess." Cam said. "But it's so random!"
"Less random than fish." He said, glad he'd come up with something that was more closely related to puffins than what they ate. "Uhh, anyway... I did ask what you liked. But you didn't answer." He thought for a moment trying to come up with something other than plants that she might be interested in. Noah? She looks after him? "You like, kids?"

(ahhhhh I’m having a major brain-fart, sorry)
“It’s beautiful,” Kevin replied, giving a small nod of his head.

Blair looked him dead in the eye, putting her hand behind her back the moment she saw his hand move. "Mhmm...no." She said firmly, smiling sweetly at him, though it was only to get him going more. "I don't want to. It's mine now."
