The Hidden Door-A Role Play (AKA The Most Dangerous Coffee Shop II)

The conversation died at his mention of Kevin. Him and Fred had left around the same time so neither of them would know much about him. A glance at Cam told him she didn't want to talk about him.

Had something happened? Last thing he remembered was trying to help Cam with her arm and Kevin practically shoving him out of the way to heal her.

"Oh! Your arm, you're better." He said enthusiastically.
“Yeah! Would you look at that!” Cam said, moving her arm and frankly not remembering which one had been hurt. She hadn’t realized Kipp had left before she had been healed. The whole night of arrival to Borealis had been a blur of fear and exhaustion.

As Hana traveled in silence, she heard a distant call in the sky. She took a moment to stop and peer up, shielding her eyes from the suns blinding luminance. It resembled a large predatory bird as it soared in circles around the group. She frowned slightly at this creatures presence, surely hoping it wouldn’t come swooping down at them as they had no place to hide in this open landscape. Its cries rang sharper, making Hana feel even more uneasy about this situation.

Rylie froze when he heard the screeches of the huge bird, looking up, eyes slitting against the sun.
Kyle followed his gaze, floppy hair falling over his fingers. Kyle's day vision was far superior to that of most men and beasts and with the shade of his fingers, he could see... "Is it just me, or does that bird have legs?" he asked. He looked closer. "HEY! THAT"S NO BIRD! THAT'S A GRIFFIN!" He shouted.

"A griffin?" Korim asked, looking at the circling form. He hadn't even paid attention to the bird. Excepting Rocs, maybe, the birds of Borealis tended to be harmless. Although maybe he should have paid attention since this 'bird' was definitely tending towards Roc size. He couldn't tell if it was a griffin or not, but little people also had sharper vision than regular ones. "If so, it's probably already seen us. We need to get together. Everyone, get together!"

Take heard Kyle’s high pitched shout and immediately glanced up, “A griffin? What’s the deal with the giant chicken?” he muttered, not having the slightest idea of what a griffin was. Although he still moved closer to the group since Blair remained on his back and he wasn’t all that interested in fighting this creature in the air. Russian dude has a gun anyways.

Aria whirled, she almost shouted “come at us” but she didn’t. She couldn’t risk the groups life like that, there was no way of telling what kind of awful things this creature had in plan for them. She listened to Korim and shifted herself closer to the group laying a hand on Torin’s shoulder, she didn’t trust him not to disappear and cause even more drama.

At the mention of a griffin, Blair glanced upwards, and the moment her eyes caught sight of the creature, her hands tightened on Take's shoulders. "Please tell me these are Harry Potter type griffins and not deadly ones." She muttered under her breath, watching Kit pace wildly beside Emma, muzzle turned to the massive creature.

The griffin dove quickly and landed on the ground before them with intense force. When the ground settled, the griffin relaxed its wings and looked upon the group with great curiosity through its blazing gold eyes.

Hana marveled at the creatures beauty— the front half of an eagle and the back half of a lion was truly a sight to behold. She would find it unfortunate if they had to slay this mysterious and magnificent creature. Her hand rested on the hilt of her katana as she braced the slight wind and quake the griffin created from its landing.

Take narrowed his eyes at the griffin, “... giant.. brown.. chicken..” he whispered to himself. He wasn’t the slightest bit intimidated by the creatures size, deadly claws, sharp beak, and powerful set of wings. “Get lost!” he shouted, annoyed that the chicken stood in the way.

Kevin eyes drifted to the sky, widening as he saw the giant beast. Its golden feathers ruffled in the wind, and he could hear its cries echoing down towards them.
It’s beautiful, Kevin thought, staring up in awe. As it drifted closer to him, a hint of a smile tugged at the corner of his lips. It didn’t seem too dangerous, at least not yet.
As it landed in front of them, Kevin took a small step closer to the front of the group. He cast a glance at Take, who didn’t seem thrilled to have it in front of him. “Don’t shout, you’ll agitate it,” he said, “we’ll just go around. There’s plenty of open space.”
He watched the griffin carefully, avoiding direct eye contact as he slowly moved to the side of it. He hated the thought of fighting it, especially if one of his more. . . Impulsive, travel companions was the reason it attacked.

Aria stared, it was a beautiful creature. She gazed in wonder, her fascination causing her to drift into a sort of daydream which would be disastrous if something happened. There was no way she would be able to react fast enough

"Don't yell at it," Blair snapped under her breath, wriggling her way out of his grasp and not-so-gracefully landing on her feet. With her head down, she slowly moved forward, and picked up a frozen Emma, hushing Kit gently. She stole a glance at the beast, her eyes widening at its beauty, feathers gleaming in the sun. Her mouth fell open, and she just barely stopped herself from stepping closer to the great bird.
