Aria hurried “wow” she breathed, it was the first sign of civilisation they had seen in days

Take lurched forward from being whacked in the head. He just bursted out laughing, “Hey man, there’s nothing to be embarrassed about... besides those awkward conversations you two have.” he pointed out, besides Kipp getting obviously flustered around Cam. He rubbed the back of his head, “Just don’t do anything impulsive, it’ll just drive her away.” was his genuine piece of advice after looking back on how his and Blair’s relationship started. His feelings were intense back then, and she refused them for some time.
Take pocketed the coin after growing bored of the repetitive rolling. What Kipp said about him was true—he was laidback, hardly ever worried, and did what he wanted. Of course these qualities could easily be seen as negative and was why he lacked maturity at times. He was quiet, thinking about how he was influencing Kipp. “Listen, just don’t get caught up in it, doing whatever you want doesn’t always work out.. I’m like this because I spent my whole life rebelling and getting in trouble. I learned what I could and couldn’t get away with.” He folded his arms behind his head, gazing at the Rugæ settlement in the distance “Anyways I can’t wait to take a goddamn bath, we all sure as hell need one.”Kipp moaned, smacking a hand to his face, he knew it was bad. He'd hoped it wasn't that bad. He dragged his hand roughly though his hair shooting Take an uncomfortable look, begging him to put him out of his misery.
"Don't do anything impulsive." In theory that was the perfect plan, do nothing and nothing bad would happen. He could do that, he'd done that for years. The problem was, he didn't want to.
Kipp looked at Take from the corner of his eye, only just now realizing that he'd been mimicking him for the past few months. "But... that's what I like about you the most. You do what you want when you want. It's... fun. You don't stress about all the bad things that could happen. You just do what you want."
Hana started making her way down the ridge by lowering her body and letting her feet slide down the loose gravel slope with ease. When she got to the bottom, she looked up at the group before continuing towards the settlement. A gale wind came in and she quickly zipped up her jacket and hugged herself to retain heat.Kyle turned Rylie so he could gallop up beside her. Kyle stood up on Rylie’s shoulder blades, peering over his head and shading his eyes from the sun shining above.
There were buildings on the mountain to the north, and the only marker that could lead to it was a rough yellowish dirt path snaking from the west, where they had been, to the settlement. It obviously narrower than it once was due to less use.
“How ever did you manage to lead us in the right direction?” He asked, not really sure whether he was asking Korim or Aria. But his frail voice was lost in the wind, which was whipping Rylie’s fur, blowing hard from the north, right up over the mountainside. Kyle shivered and sank back behind the ruff of fur around Rylie’s neck and digging his pale, bare arms into the fur. (Now that I think about it, it’s weird Kyle doesn’t have winter clothes, considering he came to Borealis on a winter day in the woods. Maybe he couldn’t find anything in his size so Rylie is basically his winter coat.)
Korim ran quickly to the ridge that Hannah was on, obviously pleased at having lead them right, despite his questionably uncanny ability to do so. He cradled the unicorn horn gently in his hands, and it wasn’t heavy, , but his care made hampered his scampering ability “You are correct! There is our destination.” He pointed to the houses.
Cam wondered if Hannah was allergic to yelling.

Take jumped down the slope and ambushed Kipp from behind by throwing his arm over Kipps face so he got the full experience of Take’s underarm stench. He erupted in cackling laughter, “What’d you say? You wanted to smell my armpits?” he jeered as if he was repeating Kipp’s false request. He trapped the poor Kipp for a good few seconds before releasing him, “Looks like you really need a bath now” he teased.Kipp didn't like what he said. Take didn't think doing whatever he wanted would make him happy, but neither would doing exactly what he was told to do. He'd had plenty of experience with that. He didn't know what to say, and settled on not saying anything. Take too seemed to want to move on.
He wasn't sure how Take expected to get the Rugae to let them all take a bath. From Korim's description of them, and the letter, it sounded a lot more like not being stabbed to death would be generous. Or maybe this was one of those things that Take felt he could get away with.
Kipp rolled his eyes playfully hitting Take's elbow with his hand. "Yes, you really do, put your arms down you stink." He hopped down over the ledge sliding down the loose gravel embankment following Hana down.
Blair glanced at Kevin as he reached her side, Emma peering at him with interest. She held respect for the healer, not only had he helped many of the group, but she couldn't imagine it felt nice to be used only for your power and then just thrown away. He also seemed to have a more level head then others.Kevin stood in the back of the group, watching with disapproval as his comrades approached the goat-like unicorn. He wanted to tell them to leave it alone, but before he could, Take tackled it and its horn was chopped off.
Kevin looked away, clenching his jaw. He really shouldn’t have been surprised, seeing as how that was how they reacted to most of the creatures of Borealis, but it still took part of him off guard. As Aella’s cries rang out, he glanced at her out of the corner of his eye. As fire erupted from her hands and towards the pink-haired man, he couldn’t help but feel his respect for her grow. The more he was around everyone, the more he grew fond of a few certain people, and less fond of a few of the others.
Kevin continued to walk, watching as the unicorn ran away in either fear, or pain. He wondered if he tried to heal it, if its horn would grow back. The thought of leaving it defenseless made him feel terrible, but before he could try to get close enough to heal it, it was already out of sight.
As he neared the Rugæ city - if that was even what it could be called - he sped up to the front, reaching Blair’s side. She seemed visibly upset, and he assumed it was from the fight she had with Take.
“Fights are never easy, especially with loved ones.” He said simply, keeping pace with her.

"No, they're not," she agreed, giving a slight nod. "Especially over things that shouldn't be a big deal." She looked back at Kevin with a shrug. "But I guess that's what you get when two people who probably shouldn't be together are together. Fights like that seem to always happen."
