The Hidden Door-A Role Play (AKA The Most Dangerous Coffee Shop II)

Cam imagined a chicken with black and white squiggles on it. “Awwww he sounds so cute.”

Kevin nodded. “Yes, he’s going to be very handsome,” he looked down at the chick. “Aren’t you?”

“I’m no good at naming things. So I won’t help you out there” Aria joked

He looked up, chuckling. “I’m sure they’ll eventually find a name that suits them.”

He knew the color of their fluff likely didn't completely match the color they'd be as adults. His own down had been a muddy mix of light and dark browns. He was glad his feathers hadn't come in looking like that.

He wished he hadn't lost all of his long almost white feathers. He liked how the dark brown ones laid over the lighter color, showing through on the tips and making an almost spotted pattern where they overlapped.

Kipp adjusted his wings closer to his body, trying to put his own feathers out of his head. It was going to be a long time before he had new ones.

"Hmm, what about Barcode?" He suggested, referring to the little black boy he'd held before. Though he was only looking at the chick he was currently holding, being sure to not let this one wriggle away.

Kevin looked down, examining ‘Barcode’. He wasn’t sure what it meant, but it sounded nice.
“Barcode. I like that,” he said, slowly nodding. “Hello, Barcode.”

“For sure. This little gal is adorable”
“Gal?” Cam asked teasingly. She knew what the word meant to most people, but in her first thoughts it was “gall” which was caused by fly eggs being laid in the vascular parts of plants.

Needless to say, Blair was quite releaved when it turned out to be Charlie and Alex, and not something else. "They're over there somewhere," she told him, pointing towards one stall that had multiple bowls of soup. "Let's go back before they decide to up and leave us."
“Yeah.” Charlie agreed. He stared ahead and realized how hungry he was. Normally, he would’ve announced that he was starving, but his brother was probably even hungrier (and grumpier) so he stopped himself.
“Alex, c’mon, the others are right over there!” He urged gently, as his brother was starting to tug on his hand as he dragged his feet.

“Where were you two?” Korim asked, sipping his soup slowly.

“Yeah? Am I missing something? Oh sorry Aussie talk you U.S.A. people must not say it” she giggled sheepishly “my bad sorry”
“No... we say it... it’s just so southern...” Cam said. “Which kinda makes sense because Australia is very southern compared to the rest of the world.”
