The Hidden Door-A Role Play (AKA The Most Dangerous Coffee Shop II)

"She's accepted you," Korim noted.
"Mam, could I take some of this food out to the injured kids?" He didn't even ask, grabbing a tray of food from that his younger brother was reaching for and popping a piece of bacon in his mouth.
"You guys can probably sit at the table." The long table could never be exhausted of chairs. The family tended to have extra space in case cousins -of which he had many- and whatnot came to call.

That had not been what Korim had been trying to portray via eye contact, but that language had always been iffy. Oh well.
He slunk out the door, carrying a tray of buns, hotcakes, and angry bacon. (Also known as ragaporc in his native language.)

An elderly lady with creased greyish brown skin and blue-grey hair stood in the clearing. She carried a twisted cane of wood. She normally would have gone about with a great blue hooded cape, but that was unsensible in the summer's heat. So instead she wore a faded shapeless frock. "Pell, dear? Or are you Terci? I can never tell the two of you apart, you know," the lady murmured. Her voice creaked like a dead branch on a tree. Her once-clear blue eyes stared like marbles. She had cataracts, unfortunately, something her abilities could not fix.
Grammar had been off healing people that morning. She often did that, even with her fear of the we-sa.
Pell sighed loudly around her mouthful of food spitting some as she did so.
"Just sit down already." She complained rolling her eyes and roughly throwing her head onto her hand supported by her elbow on the table top. "It's not like we eat people." She glanced around at her brothers with a mischievous glint sparking in her eye. "Much." She added. Though she didn't get the chuckling from her brothers she'd hoped for since they didn't understand her.
"Cool." Was all Lilith could muster to Korim, turning to eye the other kids. They were a motley bunch, and she found their emotions more welcoming than their mother's who she desperately wanted to get away from. So when Pell invited them with her sarcasm, she sat across from her, giving the girl the same glint. "Really? Wow, thought it was just us who did that." She said with a serious tone, but the sudden sarcastic grin that broke out across her face told otherwise.
She motioned to the others down the line, trying to decide on the best approach as to how to speak to the girl. She seemed sassy and sarcastic, so that helped. "Nice crew. They all your brothers?"

Given the clear sign that the group was welcomed at the table, Hana found herself an unoccupied seat, quietly keeping to herself as rested her hands in her lap in a formal manner.

Kylan nodded sweetly, prancing away and quickly reaching the house. He evaluated it quickly, flashing a beaming smile at the occupants before noticing Lilith becoming more and more anxious, coming up beside her.

Lilith felt the color drain from her face as she was subjugated to the woman's harsh eyes. Her tapping foot made her heart rate quicken with anxiety, and she bit her lip until a drop of crimson spiked up as she sensed the woman's growing annoyance.
When Korim told her to put the dog 'out', her tired brain translated that as literally putting Tru out and into death-- Before it quickly dawned on her that, in fact, she wanted her to take him outside. She glanced down at him, nervousness causing her to unwittingly call the skin off her arm. "Ah, um... Yeah. Right." She muttered, feeling her stomach twist a bit more as she looked up with a blank expression at the lady. Over the two years since she'd found him half dead at the side of the road, she'd grown to take him everywhere, and he'd served as something of a personal therapy dog.
She noticed Kylan step up, offering out his hand. "I'll take him out to Aria and Kevin."
She nodded, handing his leash to him. She felt better knowing he'd be in her friend's care, and not to be attacked by some wild animal. She watched as her best-friend walked off, before turning her green gaze upon the woman who stood only up to just above the tall girl's waist. "He's gone. Can you help us? Your son seems to think so." She said smoothly, sticking her hands into her hoodie pocket as a nervous instinct. She looks like a little kamikaze that wants to kill me.
When Mam turned away with her short couple of words, she sensed the gist of it. "Thank you, Miss." She said with a more comfortable tone, even though she still didn't trust the woman, she probably never would fully.

Just as he had left, he returned with Tru, the dog panting happily. "'Ey, I think the dude's Mom agreed to help, since Lilith didn't seen about murder her." He said with a comforting smile, stopping by her. "But she said she wanted Tru out of the house, could you watch him, or find someone to while I go get you some food?"
“Yeah of coarse, but don’t bother about the food, really, I will be ok. My stomach can survive” almost on Cue Aria’s stomach rumbled.

"Yeah, I'll be fine. I just can't look up for too long or I'll get a headache from all the noise. Dragons sure are talkative." he laughed, glancing up and giving her a smile before looking back at his feet.
Ellie nodded “is there any way to I don’t know...switch off the noise?” Ellie suggested

Kylan smiled, shaking his head a little as he handed a very happy Tru's leash to her. "Nope, you're eating, whether you like it or not, Ari." He walked out backwards, before turning and jogging towards the house.

"Eyyy!" Srutu called after him, "I need that food you know! I'm too scrawny bring it back!" but Korim had already loped out the door.

Terci skipped over to her Grammar, gently taking her large wrinkly brown hands in her own. "It's Terci Grammar." She said sweetly. "There's some people who need your help. I'll take you there." She was happy to be out of the house, the air in there was thick with the extra heat from the stove and the strong smells coming from her unbathed brothers, that was barely covered by the sweet and salty stench of bacon. "They were out in the Laefeslay all night." She said, bragging as though she had been out there with them.

"My head?" Charlie put his hand to his head as if he had forgotten it was there. "It's fine. I'm just.. so tired." He groaned, rubbing his face with a hand. He smirked tiredly at her. "Ok, Smith."
As the rest of the group split up, he didn't know where to go until Maya walked up to him and shoved his shoulder towards the barn. "Sleep. There. Food at the house." She explained shortly, before walking after Korim.

Clary grinned down at him. “Make that two,” she said. The name almost made her homesick, and she wished she was home with her friend. I wonder if he’s worried. I doubt it.
She turned her attention to the house. “I’m starving. Are you coming?” Clary asked, following Maya after Korim.

Alone once more, Aella stared at the rickety old later for many moments, before sighing. She placed a foot on the first rung, then a hand on the side, and carefully hauled herself up it. She winced each time she was required to place pressure on her wounded ankle, and when she reached the top, she quickly found refuge against the wall. She pulled her boots off, placing them beside her, and inspecting her wound.
It didn't appear painful, but it was most likely before she was so exhausted that everything felt like it hurt more then it actually did. She curled against the wall, her eyes fluttering shut, sleep claiming her lightly.

Kevin glanced at Aella. “Hey. Can I take a look at your leg?” He murmured, scorching towards her.

"Cool." Was all Lilith could muster to Korim, turning to eye the other kids. Pell hesitated with her food halfway to her mouth, suddenly unsure if this giant was going to eat her. Snorting when she realized she was just joking.
"Yep! That's Srutu sitting next to you." And then she quickly named the rest pointing in their general direction as she went around the table. "Dartuu, Elim, Vrage, Bagga, Juun, Gree, and Korim." She said finally pointing at the door her other brother had left through. "So, what's the Laefeslay like? Is it really as dangerous as they say? I've always wondered if it was just a stupid story to keep us from exploring some cool ancient ruins or something. I almost went in there last week, but Mam caught me." She said pursing her lips and frowning down at her plate in disappointment.

Aella had just allowed sleep to draw her in with a soothing embrace, when she was startled awake by a voice in front of her. Her eyes flickered open, and she brushed hair away from her face, blinking at Kevin. She glanced at her leg briefly. "Uhm..." she pressed her back against the wall. "S-sure..."

Kylan smiled, shaking his head a little as he handed a very happy Tru's leash to her. "Nope, you're eating, whether you like it or not, Ari." He walked out backwards, before turning and jogging towards the house.
She gave in reluctantly, “so....Tru, what-oh Wait your a dog. You can’t speak” she sighed giggling quietly
