The Hidden Door-A Role Play (AKA The Most Dangerous Coffee Shop II)

Yeah.. I can tell this kid has been through a lot.
“Pft. Of course you guys failed, kids aren’t meant to be devising plans of escape or fighting back... you guys are supposed to be running around enjoying your childhood, being brats and picking your noses or whatever..” Take muttered, scratching the side of his face, “Besides, I’ve already come up with a plan...” he cracked a confident smile, “You gotta know how to know navigate this whole place right? Have you ever come close to the entrance?”
(I love that at this very second Fred is devising plans to escape with the kids and Kipp and Ashira lol)

“Yes... No... I’ve never come close. It’s heavily guarded.” A voice called in the distance. “Well,” he said. “Gotta go,” he waved and ran off.

Cam woke up, finally not feeling so horribly sore. Sun beams crossed the floor below and illuminated dust motes floating in the air like will-o-wisps. She stretched and glared at the dragons who had inspired her awakening. They had been really cool the first day, but they were becoming something of a nuisance.
Cam blinked as the blood rushed out of her head and into the rest of her. She patted the dress that had been given to her. Yes, it would make traveling difficult, but at least it was baby-blue and not red or something. Cam looked odd in red. It really didn’t suit her.
Thanks to Mam’s generosity, her ruined khakis, shirt, and socks were now freshly cleaned, and she had a pair of boy’s boots. Apparently Mallie’s shoes were too small for her.
The other clothes were in her pack right now, however. She had decided she would try to fit in with the Borealans, at least in this town.
She didn’t want to say it, didn’t want to jump into danger, to leave this place of safety. But she had to, in order to ever get home.
“Kyle?” she asked, gulping, wondering about the implications whirling through her head. “Isn’t today the day we leave?”
Kyle was having one of his aloof moments where he and Rylie perched on the slender railing of the loft, somehow not looking like they were about to fall and staring down at the dragons below.
Kyle turned his head, standing up on the board, a balancing act that Cam would not attempt, and said perkily, “Yup, today is the day we leave.”

Two days.
Two, horrible, painful, endless days.
Blair truly did not believe she would last one more day doing nothing. Hell, she wouldn't last a few more hours. Anxiety had corrupted her, and it was clear in the way she acted. Her leggings had been cleaned, and Aella had reluctantly landed her the flannel she had after it had been cleaned, as Blair refused to wear a dress, but even though she had cleaned up, she still looked like a wreck.
She placed, the straw beneath her feet crunching loudly. Loudly for her anyway. She had her hair tied up and on top of her head, put of immediate reach so she couldn't pull it put.
She wasn't even worried about how dead she was going to be when she got back to Massachusetts.
All she cared about was Take and Emma. And it took all of her will power, quickly fading will power, not to go out by herself and search for them herself. Two days was too long. One day would have been quite enough. More then enough in her eyes. What if they're hurt?! What if they're dead?!
No one had listened to her.
Her cries had gone unnoticed, her worries and fears blatantly ignored. No one cared, she realized. No one cared that her niece was missing. No one cared that Take was missing. Didn't care that he was the person she'd do anything for, didn't care that he was her boyfriend, her partner, her soulmate.
She finally collapsed against a stall, her fingernails gouging into the skin of her forearm, drawing blood. Then she heard it. Kyle's squeaky little voice that drive her mad. Today is the day we leave.
She nearly screamed from the relief that flooded her, crashing down and wholly consuming her. She jumped to her feet, pinpointing Kyle and Ryle on one of the skinny beams high above, Aella hovering above them further up on one of the thicker beams. "When?"

Carson sighed, rubbing his temples. If they didn't get out of this dragon-infested barn soon, he was sure he would end up murdering someone. Yes, the food and water had been nice, he admitted to himself, but the small feathered creatures were annoying. They talked all day, all night... there was no end to it. The only relief he got was from looking down or closing his eyes, but his neck had begun to hurt and it was difficult to keep his eyes down anymore. When are we going? I can't stand it here anymore, He thought to himself, leaning against the wall and closing his eyes.
Buck nudged his hand and gave a purr of sympathy, knowing it must be hard for him to spend so long in a place that was crawling with animals.

One of the Corim boys below was tending to the larger dragons Kyle’s gaze was drawn to Aella, distaste clear in his eyes. She thought herself more squirrel than woman. “After breakfast...”
“Oh good,” Cam said. The Borealan food was beyond delicious. “I’m starving.”
Kyle continued “...And our personal courtier should come in three... two...”
A door burst open, and a long shadow was cast across the sunbeam crossing the floor.
“Breakfast’s ready!” Korim yelled. “Come in while it’s still hot!”
Kyle smiled. “We’ll be right there.”

Buck purred happily and nudged Carson off the wall. Buck had learned the words 'Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner' had meant food while they had stayed there.
Carson reluctantly walked over to where they were serving after Buck's gentle encouragement. He nodded in relief when Kyle told them they would leave after the meal, looking forward to leaving all the noise behind. He served himself some pancakes and bacon, making sure to grab a little extra for Buck, and grabbed some water. He went back to the wall to lean against it while he ate, occasionally slipping the big cat a piece of bacon or pancake while he did.

Kevin was outside, doing pull-ups on one of the large tree branches outside of the barn. His flannel jacket and gun was sitting next to him, but even with the cold breeze he didn’t need it.
He dropped down, using his jacket to wipe the sweat off of his face. He had spent most of his time in the village trying to learn the strange new language, exercising, and practicing his magic, the only ways to keep some of his sanity. As much as he worried about the missing children, he worried about his animals much more. He had been gone for days now, and wasn’t sure if they still had food and water.
He tucked a small strand of hair behind his ear, watching his chickens scratch through the dirt. The people who lived here were kind enough to give him a spare hair tie and an old baby carrier sling for his birds, for the sake of convenience.
Kevin slowly sat down, closing his eyes. If his calculations were correct, they would finally be leaving today. It’ll be too late now. He thought, frowning. If they could find the kids alive and okay, it would be a miracle. He murmured something in Russian, before standing up again and starting on another set of clapping pushups.
