The Hidden Door-A Role Play (AKA The Most Dangerous Coffee Shop II)

Kipp wiped a hand across his own face, frowning at the tears as he flicked them away like they were some kind of alien that had attached itself to his face. Exhaustion was getting the better of him, he shouldn't have sat down. The pain in his head had only gotten worse since earlier, there was a weight that came with it that seemed to push his eyes closed. He leaned back against the lumpy wall closing his eyes. The burning pain that he'd gotten used to pried itself back into awareness, protesting the sharp bits that were pushing against the fresh wounds. What are our options anyway? Try to escape and probably fail, or work until we drop? Neither of those seem pleasant.

Kipp peeked one eye open to look up at Fred. "It's not like anything you said would keep me from using it if I had to. Besides I don't even have it, Ashira does." Kipp sighed, slowly staggering to his feet, and then back against the wall as a wave of dizziness blurred his vision. He forced himself upright ignoring his shaking limbs, determined to keep going. He couldn't sleep yet. "Kids, Torin, Alex, Emma, Noah, and Chion. We're going now. Bring something to defend yourself with, if you think it'll help. We'll try not to go too fast, but we can't go slow either. And we can't hold your hand. If you get lost or separated, we're going to the fourth tunnel on the left. Left is the one that makes the capitol L." He added lifting his sword wielding arm. "After that every turn is the first tunnel to the right. Try not to get lost." He couldn't bring himself to finish that sentence with what he had been thinking. That if any of them fell behind or got caught they wouldn't be able to go back for them. "Let's go."
“I know what left is,” Noah sniffed hopefully, holding up his left hand and staring at Kipp. “Les go.”

"I thought you needed help walking." Kipp glanced at the cart near by, using it might not be the worst idea. He wasn't sure how many people he could lift in it though. The cart was probably a bad idea unless they came across one of those animals for pulling it. getting out of here would be so much easier if we had stuck with the plan. We were supposed to blend in with the crowd. "Any suggestions on how to get out of here unnoticed?"
“I’m sure Chion could help me. But would that be to much to ask?” Fred asked. His mind ticked away thinking up a plan. How do I get them out without being seen? “Kipp, how much powder do you have?”

"Uhh," None. You have nothing. "A million, times zero?" He answered rubbing a finger hard against his forehead just above his eyebrow. He didn't think the younger kids would know multiplication yet.

Chion had gone silent again watching the two interact as she made a show of working vigorously so the guards wouldn't see the rest slowing down. She still didn't know what to think of Kipp. Fred not trusting him to come back for them made her dislike the harpy. He seemed excessively emotional, for someone who was taking on the role of leader. And something about how he didn't even seem to be aware that he was hurt just as much as Fred, made her uneasy. She'd rather have Fred telling them all what to do than Kipp.

"Don't forget I can transform in to any living thing I can touch." She interjected.

Fred nodded “well we have to get some”

“Wait, I could come back and teleport more” Aria said slowly “but this could work” a smile spread across her face

Kevin turned around. “Can you?” He asked. No matter how far she got them, it would still be better than walking. “Alright, let’s do that.” He looked around, hoping everyone would agree with their plan. And whoever didn’t would be left behind.

"Oh." Grafe blinked a few times surprised he wasn't going to have to fight her on it. "Uhhh, there isn't exactly any way to transport this, unless you want to take a whole pot. There's still some bread, though Seina will be bringing back the slightly fresher stuff. Going looking for her is a bad idea, the tunnel she goes through is heavily guarded only specific people are allowed through. She'll be here really soon so don't worry too much about it. Jerran, uhh, he's technically one of the guards. He'll likely be able to follow us on his own." As he spoke Seina entered the room she looked tired, but somehow despite the circles under her eyes she still looked decently healthy. She carried a basket in one hand with a decent amount of stale bread, and a metal bucket filled with table scraps from the night before.
“You’re okay! You’ve got food? Okay, we have to go!” Her eyes filled with pleading. “Please... they’re torturing someone I know. We need to find them and leave.”

Fred nodded “well we have to get some”

(I realized last night when i went looking for all the little kids names that Emma is actually 5 not 4. But she never told Kipp her age that i'm aware of so we'll just say he's guessing based on the other two 5 year olds sizes.)

"We'll meet up with Ashira before we get to Take, or we should. She's not coming back here."

Kipp didn't know what to suggest. His immediate reaction to Fred suggesting he be the one in back was to say no. He knew it wasnt safe and who ever stayed behind likely wouldnt make it out. He wanted to say he should do that job, but Fred would probably say the same thing. No way not safe. But they couldn't just leave the slowest in the back. He was impatient to go every minute they stayed here was another minute Take was in pain.

"Let's just go, we're a small enough group the 4 youngest can lead the way out of here. You, me, and Chion can fight off who ever comes after us."

---

Chion tossed a piece of ore she'd dislodged past Kipp's head glaring at him.
"Or, I could turn into one of those and just pull us all out of here unnoticed." She said pointing at one of the creatures pulling a cart. "Don't you remember how many followed us last time? Are you trying to get us caught again?" She held back from yelling but her voice was strained and angry even with her hushed tone.
