The Hidden Door-A Role Play (AKA The Most Dangerous Coffee Shop II)

Kipp sighed, there really wasn't much he could do. His hands and clothes were filthy and so were Fred's it actually would have been better if he hadn't ripped his shirt open at least it would have kept the bloody gash partially protected.

He looked up at Fred's face, wishing there was something he could do to help. Only to be met with mud covered glasses staring back at him.

"You got some of those bags of Candelous dust didn't you?" He asked out of the blue.
“ I have as many as I can carry” Fred said smiling weakly “enough for me to take home and study if we get out of this alive”

“Sure” Fred reaches into his pocket pulling out a packet and handing it to him “what do you need it for?”
Kipp didn't really want to say what he was planning to do, Fred probably wouldn't like it. Of course he also didn't like the idea of wasting the powder, it was sure to come in handy.
"It's clean... ish." Was his answer. Kipp untied the fabric sting that held the back shut and dumped what he could into one of his pockets, half of the fine powder blowing away on the wind. Kipp watched the glowing powder as it disappeared in billowing puffs hopefully it lost it's effectiveness as it spread out in the air, it would be extremely unfortunate to have one of them knocked out up here.
"Glasses, or shoulder?" He asked holding the palm sized empty burlap bag up for Fred to use.

“Glasses” Fred said “I can deal with my shoulder but not being able to see very well could be dangerous”

Kipp slid his glasses off, wiping them clean. Or atleast mostly clean witht the rough fabric.
"Better?" He asked placing them back on his face. Though the arms stuck inside his ears instead of over them since Kipp had never been in charge of putting somone elses glasses on for them before.

Fred nodded lifting one arm to straighten the glasses and shift them over his ears.

Kipp was disappointed by the silent answer, unable to tell what Fred was thinking. He hated not being able to talk to him, but he still was getting the feeling that he'd done something wrong and nothing was good enough to fix it.
"We have to keep moving." He muttered, pushing himself to his feet and offering his hand to help Fred up.

“I’m hungry,” Noah moaned. He didn’t get the reaction he wanted with his last complaint.
He looked down at one of the skeletons. “What do you think that is?” It was a large bird, bigger than Kipp. Bigger than Take, the three-eyed teenager, and he was one of the tallest kids he knew.

Kipp turned at the sound of his voice. Had he wandered back up the hill to complain? He looked down at the large dead thing rather disinterested.
"It's not food. If that's what you're thinking." He answered. What ever it was it had been there a while. The rotted and dried out flesh pulled taught over it's ribcage in the few places it was still intact.
