The Hidden Door-A Role Play (AKA The Most Dangerous Coffee Shop II)

“Hello? Can anyone out there hear me? Kipp? Seina? Chion?”

(Hope you guys don't mind me moving your charries around.)

Chion lifted her head ears twitching up at the sound of her name being called. She looked over at Seina who looked to be sleeping already. Alex and Elon were both leaned against her also alseep. She nudged Torin with her snout, gently burying her nose under his shoulder and sliding him off her belly that he was using as a pillow, so she could stand.

I couldn't have imagined it twice. She thought, walking over and sticking her head outside the cave to look around. There wasn't much out there besides the rock strewn sandy shore of the river.

Ashira finally saw the creature she knew to be Chion. “That’s them!” she exclaimed happily, setting the girl down with the others and running to meet Chion. “We’re back! Is everyone okay?”

Chion snuffled in surprise at Ashira running at her out of the thick darkness. "We're ok." She answered, stopping short of adding the questions that popped into her head thinking Ashira wouldn't understand. Why were you calling for Kipp? You were with him last I saw. You guys were right behind me. Don't tell me you got lost and separated somehow. Who is 'we' if you're not with Kipp? Chion peered into the darkness behind Ashira barely able to make out the silhouettes behind her.

Ashira quickly remembered the language she had to speak in. “I went back to get some more people out of that awful place. Kipp and the others still aren’t with you?” Her brown-amber eyes widened with concern.

Lilith nodded after a moment, a thoughtful look on her face. "Yeah, it was. She loved plants and ecosystems. Studying them and seeing how they worked. Me and Kylan have always been more into our own respective art forms." She answered, before smirking at his next comment. "Oh yeah, all we need is hell from heaven." She joked, hand gripping Tru's leash and her camera.
She paused for a moment, sensing for the others. She could tell they were heading diagonally from them, seemingly heading away from the forest's heart. "The others are heading towards the mountains." She updated him, glancing over towards his face-- Realizing he was the only person she really knew who she had to look up to.

Kevin smiled, watching her as she spoke. He raised an eyebrow, intrigued by the mention of ‘art’. “Art? Do you paint?” He asked. “Or do you mean photography?”
Kevin frowned. Hell from heaven. “I don’t get it.” He looked around, spotting the mountains. The last thing he wanted to do was climb, especially in the rain. “We better go, before we lose them.” He said, heading that direction.

Chion stared up at her, not sure how to react to a human making animal chirps and grunts. She had no clue what Ashira was saying, as she was only speaking like an animal because her own mouth wouldn't form the words she needed to speak in Portsmouth.

Kylan kept quiet, not sure what he thought of all this. So we may have to face aggressive dragons now and pray they actually aren't there? Nice. It made him nervous, definitely, and he didn't like how reluctant Korim seemed at first-- He was from here, and if he thought it was dangerous, it could well be a bad idea to go there.

Kylan automatically slid down into a crouch beside her, placing each of his hands on her shoulders and helping her up. A worried look crossed his face, sympathy running through him. He had a crewneck sweatshirt, jeans, and boots on and was still feeling the effects of the freezing rain; she had to be chilled to the bone. "Hey, hey, you okay?"
“Thanks” she shivered again, her skin had broken out in goosebumps and her teeth chattered as she stood.

“Oh, so you speak like that, but you only understand Portsmoth?”

Chion dipped her currently furry head. Regretting trapping herself in this form without finding some back up clothes. But it was necessary at the time. She tipped her head again, at the others who had finally come in to view. The other half of the first group wasn't with them.

“So... do you know where the others might be?” They couldn’t lose them. They just couldn’t!
