The Hidden Door-A Role Play (AKA The Most Dangerous Coffee Shop II)

Rylie removed himself and Kyle saluted as Aella and Ciro entered the portal. With that, Rylie trotted into the thick of the Laefeslay.
Kyle with poisoned darts. Rylie with teeth and claw. Off to find another adventure.
He loved this place. The struggle to survive was real here, so palpable, and Kyle loved it. Loved all of it.
Nat barely got out a coherent, "I'll miss you so much," before Rylie withdrew back into the portal.
She sniffed and promptly inhaled snot, definitely aware that an elongated farewell would've been even worse.
That cat was too intelligent for his own good.
And, right there, on the floor of the storage unit that still offered the faintest traces of Rylie himself if she inhaled hard enough, she swore that no other cat would ever earn even a fragment of her heart.
That Kyle was the luckiest man in the world.

Fred smiled “ah. I see” he grinned wickedly enjoying watching his friend squirm
Cam looked over at the terrible whisperer. “Yeah, there are. And I’m not afraid to admit it.” Even if I am afraid to face my parents.

Kipp gave his ruthless friend a horrified pout, wishing he'd show even the slightest bit of remorse. Audibly squeaking, and jumping when he heard Cam chime in.
There... are? He echoed in in head trying to decipher what she was saying, having completely forgotten the way Fred had worded his prodding.

"You? I... You..?" He stammered breathlessly confused as to how she could possibly like him too.

“I do like you,” Cam said with a smile. “You’re one of the bravest people I know. I mean, things happen when you’re stuck on an adventure for three months.”

Take remained standing in front of the portal even after Blair disappeared into it. Something was making him stay there, frozen and eyes locked on the whirling vortex. He waited for something to happen, for her to suddenly come back, but at the same time he didn’t. He didn’t want her to come back, she had a life, responsibilities, parents, a brother, all things that he didn’t have. To be honest, all he really needed in his life was Blair and probably Cheez-it’s, but he couldn’t be greedy and take her away from what she had back home. After all, he was just one person. Take started backing away from the portal and off the limestone platform, his heart aching terribly. Alright stupid, quit being lame. Things will work out, it’ll be okay, she’ll be okay.
He traveled back to the village, reminiscing on everything that happened over the last few months, feeling that he would most definitely miss the little kids. He was the mother duck and they were like his ducklings that followed him around everywhere he went, especially Torin. They taught him that not all kids were spoiled brats that needed to be praised for every little thing, they were just like him, chaotic and humorous. He probably taught them some bad habits, like how to commit arson, eating with a mouth full, and some slang he used often.
“That’s so metal”
“Lame”
“Loser”
The kids were a complete riot and he had some good times messing and playing with them. For once, he understood what it meant to be an older sibling, something the younger him wanted to be so badly, or just to have someone related to him at all.
When he did make it back to the village, he gathered his belongings and suited up in his armor to set out to boomtown that would be full of vandals and pity thieves. That’s where all the action was, a place full of people who were displaced from their respective societies. He planned to find people that would be willing to accompany him on adventures and dungeon raids. Nonetheless Take would always be that muscular guy with a passion for destruction and always up to cause chaos just for the fun of it.

"Always," Ciro agreed, far more immediately than he probably should've for saying something so bold as that. He settled his hand around hers, careful to keep his grip loose enough so as not to shut off her circulation- like he may or may not have done quite a few times before.
Then he turned his attention to Taquikkar. It wasn't as if leaving her behind was an even a conceivable option.
...
He really was about to bring a monstrous prehistoric wolf into a modern society that couldn't even tolerate today's diminutive lupines.
Oh, well, they'd also brought all the little boys back, and their combined force was far beyond Taquikkar's level of impact.
"Come on, girl," he encouraged, placing his free hand just behind her nearest shoulder blade and working her first paw into the portal. He'd -or, at least, tried to- trained her exclusively in Portsmoth, so there was no better way to get down onto her level. Also, he'd considered how it would likely one day come to usefulness when no one outside of their group could command her. "Forward. It's okay, I promise." Taquikkar tilted her head back at him, but didn't further question the unknown he was asking her to brave first and slid on through.
Ciro took the deepest breath of today, perhaps of the past three months, raised his and Aella's joined hands in a final salute to Borealis, and stepped into the portal.
~~~this is them aimlessly drifting between the loosened threads of the fabric of reality~~~
"So it really did dump us all back together again," he trumpeted when they emerged smack-dab in the middle of a familiar impatient horde. "Fantastic!"
Aella held her breath as they stepped through the portal, unsure of what they might face. But there was no flash of light or horrid spinning motion, just a brief sensation of being detached from reality, her vision blurred by grayness and fog, and instantly brought back when she heard the familar voices. One moment, they were in a beautiful forest surrounded by magical creatures, and the next they were forced into a storage unit.
"It just couldn't seperate our greatness so quickly," she joked, looking around the group, unsure why there was so much chaos crammed into one small space. "But why are we all in...here, of all places, exactly?"
"You're welcome, Buttercup." Lilith bent over laughing again, smiling widely. "Oh, but doesn't everyone? We are such fine creatures. Amazing specimens of society, American patriots. We fight for our right to communism, we are thriving in our minds. We are all probably homeless, but we have found a home in each other's hearts. In other words, he better or I'll steal his livelihood." She snorted, straightening up and clearing her throat. "That is all for now, thanks for coming for my public speech."
"Kylan! Put me down, Aunt Lili's gonna get'cha! We're stronger together! Join our cause, like Uncle Kevin!"
Instead of saving him, Lilith took Kevin's hand and practically skipped over to Kylan, grabbing his forearm when he grabbed Noah's shoulder. "Everyone hang onto each other!"
“Ah, yes. How could I ever forget?” Kevin said, laughing. “Ah, I would pay to see you do that,” he said, referring to Lilith stealing Felix’s livelihood.
(Sorry did the lame post. Are they in Russia yet?)
(Nope, but about to be)
Lilith snickered at Kevin, still gripping his hand like a madman, glancing at Ciro and Aella. "Ah, at last. They've decided to grace us with their presence! Amazing, now guys, we're going to Russia! Ask later, hold onto someone." She announced with a little too much excitement, her powers having kicked in and fed off Torin's and Noah's crazy energetic emotions.
