The Hidden Door-A Role Play (AKA The Most Dangerous Coffee Shop II)

Kipp understood what she meant. Chris had sort of believed him, of course having a giant nasty spider bite had certainly helped prove his story. This time the only thing he'd have was the silvery scars on his back to prove anything. But if they weren't talking in person, there was no way they'd believe him.

"Right, but, you've been away for three months. And they've been locked up at home wondering if you're ok. Explaining can wait." He said shrugging and biting his lip. He should take his own advice. "International mail takes a really long time. Like, at least two weeks." he added remembering how long it took to send a letter to his extended family. "Who knows maybe quarantine will be over by then."
"Or maybe the world is ending and that won't ever happen..." Cam sighed. "I guess I'll leave them a message. Orrrr... I guess I'll have to call them." Bracing herself, she stood up and smoothed down her green dress.
Legs shaking, she walked resolutely to the phone and punched in the numbers.
No reply. Because who would answer a call from Russia? In the middle of the night?
I'll leave a message then.
"Mom?" Cam asked. "Mom, this is Cameron. I'm in Russia now, but I'm okay. Nobody kidnapped me. You're never going to believe this, but I just followed Noah into a big portal. I got stuck in this place called Borealis for three months. It took me a while to get back. Me and my friends, you know, from the coffee shop adventure, we had to save the world. Again." She sighed. "But it looks like it didn't happen the way we intended, and it might possibly be ending anyways. We're not allowed to go outside, apparently. Due to the Coronavirus epidemic. Anyways, I just wanted you to know I'm alive, and okay, and that Noah is okay too." She turned away from the phone. "Noah, say hi."
Noah stood on his tiptoes and spoke into the phone. "Hiiiiii!" he said into it.
"Anyways, tell Mrs. Chandra he's okay and call back, please. Bye, mom!" Cam said, hanging up. She deflated.
"Okay?" she asked, not sure if she was talking to Noah or anyone in particular. "I'm going to bed." She trudged upstairs, not sure which room she intended to sleep in, or whether she was going to brush her teeth or eat. Even though she had left Borealis in the middle of the day, she was now too weary to think about eating or wearing pajamas and personal hygiene. She'd bother poor Kevin about it some other time.
Maybe it was the pleasant sleepiness of his home or the shock of arriving home in a great big quarantine or talking to her parents, but she seriously felt like an entire day had passed in the past thirty minutes.
Noah skipped back to Kylan for instruction.

“It’s just...” Cam said. “It’ll be hard to explain everything, once again. I told them all about the coffee adventure, and they believed me, even. I just don’t think it will work again. And it will be hard to explain why I’m in Russia. I think I’ll even leave a return address on it, so they can write back.” She had considered leaving it off, but that could upset them further, not knowing where she was. Couldn’t hurt, right?

Noah, despite his excitement, was actually too tired to argue.
“Okay,” he said, yawning. Despite Kylan’s attitude towards communism, he was still the person Noah respected the most. Because... lightning powers.
(So are Jewels and Clary staying in Borealis? She didn’t even say goodbye to Charlie. :( I shipped it.)

(Clary? Who’s Clary? :3 )

(Oof, poor Kevin’s phone bill. XD )

Torin sighed, deciding not to fight if his friend different. "Okay, Kylan." He groaned, having wanted to explore Kevin's mansion more.

Kylan smiled, motioning upstairs. He quickly turned, leading his brother and other charges upstairs, stepping through the dark hallway and stopping outside the last door on the right, opening it and going inside. "Alright, this room is gonna be for you three and me." He glanced at their clothes, doubting that Kevin had any for small boys. "You'll have to sleep in what you're wearing tonight until we can get some clothes that fit you."
He stepped over to the bed, pulling a one of the many pillows off and laying it on the floor along with a couple blankets. "I'll sleep on the floor, you three can share the bed, I think you'll all fit. You guys don't need anything else, right?"

“Nope!” Noah said, bouncing excitedly on the bed. “Torin, this bed is really bouncy!” he exclaimed. “This is basically a sleepover!”

“Okay” Aria stood walking inside. She saw the squirrel her eyes doubling in size “what. Is. That?!” She whispered. She walked up the stairs glancing over her shoulder at the oversized rat with the bushy tail.

“Carson I think Hazelnut should live outside for the time being. I’m not sure Kevin would want a squirrel in his house” Ellie explained
He nodded in agreement. "I figured that. I just thought you might want to meet her real quick before I let her back out and told her to stay close." He talked to Hazelnut for a second and he jumped back to his shoulder then out of a window when he got close enough

Her words hit him like a punch to the gut, he hadn't considered that he might never see his family again. Not since his first week on Borealis. Hearing it from her, after every thing, even making it all the way back to Earth, made it seem all too likely. Over 40,000 dead, what were the chances his dad and brother were even still alive? What reason did he have to think that they would still be around? His vision blurred with tears as he watched her walk away, he buried himself in his wings hiding from the rest of the world as unstoppable tears pour down his cheeks.

(I feel so bad for Kipp! Poor guy doesn’t understand what those numbers mean!)

(Alright! No more sadness is allowed outta him!)

Kipp rubbed his sleeve across his face angry with himself for being so emotional. He just had to call and have it settled. There was no reason to stress and worry, when he could easily call. There was still the chance that they wouldnt answer. But maybe they would. It was probably mid-afternoon in California.

As soon as Cam left the phone he got up and made his way over, nervously typing in his brothers phone number.

“Nope!” Noah said, bouncing excitedly on the bed. “Torin, this bed is really bouncy!” he exclaimed. “This is basically a sleepover!”
Torin laughed, climbing up on the bed and joining in on the antics, beginning to jump up and down on it. "Yeah, you're right! It is!" He agreed. "Basically? It is a sleepover! We're all sleeping over at Kevin's until everyone get's better!" He slowed his jumping for a moment, looking like he'd just realized something. "What kind of animals do you think Kevin has, other than chickens? Maybe he has a horse!"

Kylan chuckled, shaking his head at the young boys. They're more awake then when I told them to go to bed. Typical. Usually he'd stop them, but... Maybe this once he could let it slide? Just, being the cool older brother and all.
He smiled, walking over to the dresser and taking off his boots and laying down his scythe, along with his bandanna and backpack.
