The Hidden Door-A Role Play (AKA The Most Dangerous Coffee Shop II)

Hana glanced over at Aria from where she was on the couch, seeing the girl completely distraught and morphed into a sobbing ball. She slowly got up, hesitatingly walking over in Aria's direction, "Hey.. whats wrong?" she whispered, concern in her voice as she crouched down in front of her. I guess we're all not hearing the best of news today...
Aria sniffed and wiped her eyes on the back of her hand. “S-so much has ch-changed while I have been gone. My parents got a divorce, I guess I have been living in a happy bubble for too long” she sniffed wiping the fresh tears that were starting to spill down her cheeks from her eyes

(Sorry for disappearing XD)
Kylan took his time eating his pancakes, smirking at the sudden insanity brought on by Taquikkar's appearance, even joining Aella's side by flickering a piece of bread at the dire wolf without much thought put into it.
He sat quietly chuckling, before pausing when Juliana appeared beside him and Kipp. He'd learned to stay away from her, not able to stand her constant quips and lashing out.

Kylan snickered a bit, leaning back as Torin began helping his friend via pulling his other hand. "Oh, what? You need my help?" He joked, smirking at his teasing carelessness.

Kylan glanced at him blinking, having haven't heard the healer. "Huh, come again?"

Kylan smiled at him, snapping back to reality. "Alright. And by the way, you ain't that bad off. She smells worse than any of us put together." He said, giving a small smile in a hopes to amend his friend's embarrassment.

Lilith gave a huffy chuckle, smiling at Nat. "Price? You take gold? You'll have to, I'm not exactly fluid in American dollars at the moment."
At the mention of food, all playful conversation was immediately put to the side by the shear awesomeness that the possibility of pancakes equaled. And the fact that their mutual companions had probably consumed all of said awesomeness. "Curse 'em. I'm stealing their pancakes off their plates if they didn't save some for us."
At that statement, she flung herself out the door and tumbled down the stairs in nearly the same fashion Kylan had.
She then happily grabbed several pancakes and plopped them on a plate, slipping into a seat and digging into them.

Kylan finally consumed the last of his pancakes, picking up his dish and scrambling through the maze of people to grab Torin's and take both to the sink.
He just barely caught her staring at him before she scurried off, and smiled at her back sadly. No matter what, it seemed she always ended up running away; had he done something wrong, said something that made her not want to be around him too much? She'd said she liked him, and he'd said he liked her too, but now... She just didn't ever act like she did.
He paused, biting his lip indecisively. I should go talk to her, make sure she's okay. He decided, noting that Torin finally abandoned him to go play with Tru who had ran down the stairs with Lilith.
But there's someone else I need to check on first. He sighed, a small tremble running down his back. How was he ever suppose to tell his mother and father about everything? They'd never believe him, especially not his father. So he'd have to go with what he'd worked out before, and pray to God that Torin would uphold the promise that he'd go along with it. He hated the thought of lying to his parents, but what was he suppose to say? They'd think he was crazy and kidnapped his own little brother, just finally lost every last shred of sanity he retained.
So he shuffled over to the phone, pausing with his hand hovering over the phone. Just get it over with. He winced, pushing in his mother's number and waiting for her to answer with a clenched stomach. Oh, please, everyone be okay.
"Hello? This is the Archer's, how may I help you?"
Her voice was uncertain, obviously confused by the random number. But he had a feeling of pure joy spring over him at his mother's soft and feminine voice. "Mom? Mom, are you-- Is everyone okay? It's Kylan." He rasped, worry etched in his words.
"Kylan? Oh my God, Ky! Where are you? Is Tor there? Are you both alright? We're all fine, but we've... We filed so many missing people's reports, we thought we lost you both, too. It's been so long, what happened?" Her words were jumbled, and he could hear just how shocked she was, and he was sure she was crying. Three months of missing children and a deadly virus would do that to a person. I'm sorry, I'm so sorry, Mom...
"Yeah... It's me. Torin's right here, we're both fine. Shaken, but fine. I don't-- I don't know entirely. We were walking back home, and uh, some guys knocked us out. We're, uh, we're in Russia now. But we're safe! We got away!"
"What? Ky-- Some people knocked you out, and now you're in Russia? How are you safe in Russia? Who are you staying with, what did they want you for?"
He winced, knowing he was going to have a lot of bad issues if him or Torin let slip that it was a lie, but he'd be in just as bad of a situation if he said the truth. I can't believe I'm lying to her. "Uh, they wanted the ransom, I guess? We're staying with a guy called Kevin. We got trapped here after Corona hit, Lilith's here too, and some other's. But we're safe, we're fine. I'll call again later, I have to go. We'll be back home soon, I swear, Mom. I'm so sorry to have put you through this. Wait! Torin, come here, say hi to Mom!"
"What-- Kevin who? Lilith's there, she's back after two years? I don't..."
Kylan hurriedly shoved the phone at Torin faster than he ever had, nodding to his brother. "Hi, Momma!" The boy chirped, smiling happily. "We're alright! We're in communist Russia!"
He didn't catch what she said back, but he took the phone back away at the mention of communism. Muttering a final goodbye, he couldn't hang up quick enough.
He glanced at Torin, frowning. "Why do we have to lie to her?" The smaller boy asked, blinking up at him.
"They wouldn't believe us, and this way no one will get hurt." He sighed, looking towards the door. Aria had gone in the direction of the barn, so had Kevin, so that might give him a chance to kill two birds with one stone. "How about we go see the animals!" He blurted, needing to get the thoughts of his parents off his mind.
His brother nodded excitedly, already skipping out the door. He followed, and greeted the four people at the barn with a swift nod and a warm smile at each, glancing at Aria a little longer than the other's, wondering if she'd say anything.

Torin came up to Kevin, looking up at him, then at the animals. "Can I pet them? Please, Kevin, please?" He asked.
“Torin!” Noah exclaimed. “Look! There’s sheep here!” He skipped over to his newly named cattle. “And I named these cows. This one’s Cowy, and this one’s Butter.” He pointed to the respective cows when they were named.

Hana’s eyebrows drew up at the mention of her parents divorce. She gently rested a hand on Aria’s shoulder, never taking her eyes off the girls face, “I’m.. sorry you’re going through this...” she spoke softly, finding it hard to put the proper words together in attempt to comfort Aria. She never had experience with a parental divorce as she only had her mother. Though she couldn’t just go out and say that having one parent wasn’t all that bad, and that there was one less authoritative figure to argue with. Actually, Hana didn’t really understand how divorces worked, even at her age. “It’ll.. be okay, we’re all your friends and we’ll be here to help you out.”

Kevin looked down at Torin, giving him a small smile. “Yeah, go ahead,” he replied, repeating the instructions to stay away from their faces for the third time, and to approach them slowly and carefully, something Noah didn’t appear to be doing.
Once he got a chance, he was going to write it down and stick it in all of the fences.
Kevin frowned, glancing at Noah. They don’t actually have na-” he stopped himself from speaking any further, sighing and rubbing his face with a hand. “Fine. Butter and... Cowy.” Kevin grumbled, clearly unhappy.

“Thanks Hana” Aria tried to smile

Carson continued to hide in the background, not liking to be the center of attention. Let the others have their fun. He sighed contentedly, happy for the moment that they were no longer on an alien planet with a creepy monster stalking them and kidnapping them. He ran his hands through Bucks fur before laying in the grass beside him, watching the clouds roll by. He refused to think about how he was going to explain all this to his parents. He would figure that out when the time came. For now, he was going to live in the moment.

“Thanks Hana” Aria tried to smile
Aria wiped her eyes before standing, “anyway I kinda just took off on Kylan so I better go chat to him” she smiled at Hana I’m so lucky to have such great friends.
Aria jogged outside and went back in the paddock to where Kylan, Kevin and Cam were. She smiled broadly trying to hide the fact she had just been crying

Kevin glanced at Aria as she joined them in the paddock, doing a double take as he saw her red puffy eyes. He knitted his eyebrows in concern, walking closer towards her, shooting the kids a glance as he did so.
“Ari, what happened? Are you okay?” He asked, gently touching her shoulder. She didn’t seem like she was hurt, at least not physically. Maybe it had something to do with her suddenly running off?

“Hmm? Oh um I just got some very surprising news from my parents” Aria said focusing on one stem of grass so she didn’t cry all over again

“Oh. Are they okay? They didn’t-“ Kevin paused, not knowing if asking if they died would be too insensitive. “I’m sorry.” He said instead, deciding to play it safe.
