The Hidden Door-A Role Play (AKA The Most Dangerous Coffee Shop II)

Takes head hung low, with a melancholic look on his face, and arms crossed as his chest as he continued to walk along in what seemed like a endless trail to wherever this settlement was. His hand had stopped trembling after a few minutes, but it was probably the longest painful few minutes of his life. He still didn’t know why he was getting these intervals of pain, or how to stop them. Medication seemed like the only option, but they weren’t going to eventually stumble upon a Borealean drug store. He had thought about his and Blair’s argument from earlier, and he was definitely feeling some kind of regret. That he was always so carefree, rebellious, and wasn’t serious when he needed to be. It was what made him, him really. But it was what made Blair so upset, along with his selfishness. At this point, he saw himself more harmful to the group than anything, especially if he continued to pull dangerous stunts. Truthfully, he wished he didn’t have to worry or being concerned for so many people. He wasn’t responsible for them, they weren’t his family, heck, some of them were complete strangers. Yet they all had the same goal and were from the same world. Also Emma was Blair’s niece, and what from Take observed, Blair’s family was precious to her, even with the fights they might get into. He knew Emma was her priority, the girls health and well-being would come first, because family was irreplaceable and he certainly was replaceable. He wished he knew how to make up with Blair, knowing that a simple ‘sorry’ wasn’t ideal. Even the slightest advice on relationships he could receive would be helpful for him.
“Hey,” Korim said. He walked along beside Take, Timit flying in lazy loops around his head. For once he didn’t have to look up at Take because Take was bowing his head. “Do you feel terrible right now?”

Take kept his eyes on the ground, while his third eye did him a favor of looking ahead so he didn’t trip or walk into anything. He felt the gentle wind Timit gave off from his wings, and took a little look at the tiny feathered dragon. He frowned a little, not at his question, but he did feel terrible. A guilty “Yeah” was all he uttered.

Blair forced herself not to look at Take, but she still let her hearing stretch, listening to him and Korim. The darker part of her shivered in glee at the guilt in his voice, wanting him to feel guilty. The hatred for that side of her grew, and she shoved the thoughts away forcefully.
It's just a falling out. No need to make the situation worse.
It's going to be worse then a falling out if he keeps disrespecting us.
Oh, shut your trap for once. My head hurts enough.
'Eh my head hurts enough.' Too damn bad. I'll punch him if he talks like that ever again. I can guarantee he'll never speak like that again.
There is where I don't understand you. You hate him so much. And hurt him. But you still protect him.
The wolf made a strange gagging noise. The soulmate bond. Doesn't let me let him get too badly hurt. Disgusting, I know. You know I don't want him, though. You know exactly who I want.
You're never getting her.
Her mind fell silent after that, and she was grateful for it. If anyone ever really knew the extent of how much she literally argued with her own mind, she would seem crazy. She even thought she was. She never really knew how the wolf actually acquired the English language, seeing as it was, after all, an animal in her mind. Maybe that was it, though. Maybe it had just resided in her mind for too long, that it just picked it up. It never had really made sense to her.
Then again, being a werewolf in itself never made sense.
A sigh left her, her gaze fixated on the ground. She just wanted to go home. What she would do to just be in her bed and just close everyone out again. You're here now, though...

“Tell her,” Korim whispered, unaware that Blair could still most definitely hear him. “Girls love that. They like it when you’re humble. Tell her you’re sorry. Girls love that too.” Timit slithered onto his shoulder and gave an approving nod. Everything Korim said was right, obviously.

Take lifted his head a little to give Korim a questioning look, “You sure?” he asked feebly, raising an eyebrow. He didn’t understand how the boy would know anything about girls at his age, but if what he said was true... then he’d try it out. Take had forgotten that Korim had numerous siblings, and could’ve picked this knowledge up from those with dating experience, or even from his parents. He gave a small glance at Blair over his shoulder, seeing that her eyes were downcast much like how he was previously. Take had a feeling she could hear them, since they were literally the only two talking amongst the group. “Maybe not right now. You guys heard enough of our personal business..” He whispered.

“Of course I’m sure. My brother had to write a song about how wrong he was before he scored with Mallie.” Korim folded his hands behind his head, causing Timit to crawl on top of it. “Oh, sure,” he said, stepping away a little. “Keep looking miserable for now.”

Take made a face, a song? That crap actually works? He mentally cringed at the thought of him performing a song for Blair. If she ever heard him sing in the shower, she would definitely go deaf. He shrugged, still preferring to be alone with her so he could apologize correctly. “Does your dragon dude like to be held?” he asked, watching Timit crawl on the boys head. He felt like he could use some sort of comfort animal, and Kit wasn’t an option since the border collie was in the back with Blair.

“That would be unlikely. He likes to think of himself as an intelligent species and not a ‘pet.’ He prefers to be a freeloader who digs his claws into your skull. Here, I’ll ask him.” Korim said a lot of words to his dragon sorta sounding like the hissing of a snake because the ‘s’s were extended.
Would you like to pacify Take instead of puncturing my skull? Probably not though. You don’t know human emotions or compassion or how to love.”
Timit frowned, though he was somewhat proud that Korim had read him in that way. But he was also unhappy that he was read that way and wished he could be known as a loving creature like the fluffy black-and-white creature that followed the Lycan girl. “Of course I can do that! But not because I care about love and compassion and all that sap!” Or did he? Timit could never be sure what he wanted others to think of him, or even what he wished to think of himself.
Timit floated lightly into Take’s arms, slithering between them into a very twisted and uncomfortable looking shape, but apparently the feathering snake thought it was perfect and laid his head on Take’s bicep.
“Sometimes he likes to do the unpredictable thing just to prove that I’m wrong about him,” Korim explained.

Cam had been walking silently since Take and Blair’s heated argument. Rylie was far ahead as usual, checking their path for potential dangers. Since Kyle seemed pretty good at spotting things, she felt about as safe on the mountain as you could feel knowing that it was inhabited by griffins and trolls that could flatten you. So Cam took the liberty to look around her. Now they were mostly on rocks again, but with lumpy boulders and smallish cliffs blocking most of the view around.
Suddenly, a horse popped out from behind one of them.
Rylie did a full one-eighty. Cam grabbed Kipp’s hand.
“Oh...” she muttered. The horse had a long horn growing out of its forehead, long and with the twists that we all know, love, and recognize.
It was a unicorn.

It was... rather disappointing...
The unicorn more resembled a tall, slim goat than a horse. It was a bit smaller than a horse with a dirty white coat, a beard, a cow’s tail, and feathered cloven hooves. It was still pretty cool looking, but it was not the sparkling, majestic being described in books targeted at eight-to-ten year olds that she definitely did not read.

Takes face lit up in delight when Timit settled in his arms, cradling the delicate dragon with his palms up. “Dope.” he grinned. He wondered if he could get a dragon or some other mythical pet of his own, but it seemed he had to be a linguist to be able to communicate with them. Although the kid carrying around the blind wolf proved otherwise. When the unicorn caught the attention of Cam, Take looked up from his distracted gaze on Timit. He opened his mouth to speak, but quickly shut it to prevent himself from instigating the creature. Instead, he leaned his head down a little “Is it hungry or something?” he asked Korim quietly.

Most of the group fell silent after Take and Blair started fighting, and with out any real agreement, they'd all started walking again, hiking up the mountain despite the warning that the griffin brought.

Kipp wondered if Take hadn't thrown the message bottle away, they might have been able to send their own letter back. Maybe instead of hiking the whole way there, they could have gotten the Rugae to send a whole bunch of griffins and they could have gotten a ride. They were after all, only looking for help. But he had thrown it, and now they were walking, and walking, and walking.

They were actually at a serious disadvantage too, if they did decide to attack. They had griffins, and could attack them from the air. They'd pretty much be sitting ducks. Take could jump up, and Aria could probably teleport up, but gravity would bring her back down pretty quick. And what would she do in the air anyway? She might be able to take someone with her, but then there'd be two in danger of going splat. Kevin had a gun, that would work, but did he have any ammo left? Probably not, it's not like he would carry his whole stash of bullets around with him. Too bad his chickens weren't like the cucoos in Zelda. He sort of remembered one of the people here having lightning powers, that might work. But then again, maybe not. He was always told not to fly in a lightning storm, but if he wasn't touching the ground, he wasn't sure how it was supposed to hurt him. He had heard of planes getting hit by lightning and crashing though so something had to happen. Either way, he wasn't going to be the one to test it out.

He'd been lost in his own thoughts, pensively frowning at the ground, when Cam grabbed his hand. He froze, shocked, staring at her hand in his. His startled gaze slowly moving up to look at her, his cheeks quickly flushing with burning heat.
