The Hidden Door-A Role Play (AKA The Most Dangerous Coffee Shop II)

Hana felt herself freeze for moment when Aella made her presence known. She couldn’t explain the feeling but it was vague. Pushing it away to the back of her mind like she did with all her feelings, she set the bottle of alcohol next to Kyle. “I’ll try to find some.” she said firmly, standing up and making her way towards the stairs. Hana gave a glance at Kevin as she ascended, noticing the shock but subtle resolve in his face. She didn’t bother to share a word as she continued on her way. Once she reached the top she barely noticed she was in her socks, having being used to hearing the heavy stomping noise from her boots. She had been slightly confused by how everyone seemed a little bit taller, especially Kevin who she didn’t mind borrowing a couple inches off him if she could.
After calming Blair, Aella retreated from the crowd, slinking back towards the shadows when she noticed a fleeting figure heading up the stairs.
Obviously, she followed, her bare feet hardly making a sound as she darted up the steps, completely ignoring Kevin.
The memory of Hana from the previous night was clear, not shrouded or hazy. Every little detail was perfectly defined.
"What are you doing?" She questioned when the reached the top of the stairs, hesitant steps following the shorter girl into the looming darkness. Wielding a delicate flame in one palm, she followed quicker until she reached her. Silent, her face still and blank.

Hana was hesitant to face Aella as she confronted her of her actions. Once she did manage to face her, her mind was completely wiped as she stared blankly into Aella’s face then at the small flame that rested in her palm. Even from where she stood, she could feel its gentle warmness and it was almost as it was calming her. Finally tearing her eyes away from both the flame and Aella, she recollected her thoughts. “I remember, seeing something that can be of use.” she murmured softly, unconsciously playing with her hair until she winced after irritating the bump on her head. Ignoring it, Hana spun around and started to cluelessly search for the room she woke up in sometime during the night.

Kevin stepped to the side to let her pass, his gaze following her.
“What’s happen-” he tried to ask, but Hana was already upstairs and out of his sight.
He shook his head, moving down the last few steps. If there was something that needed to be fought, he counted on the others to hold it off long enough to get his gun.
“What’s happening?” He repeated, this time to the large group gathered in the main room. His eyes flicked over the mattresses, two of which occupied by the demon boy and wolf girl, Blair. He began to ask how he could help, but before the words came out, the scent hit him.
Kevin suppressed a gag, the fowl odor that radiated off of Take like a nuclear gas mine filling his nostrils. Even the cow manure at home couldn’t compare to the wretched stench. He cleared his throat, holding his breath as best as he could as he waited expectantly for an answer, while silently praying Take was not the one that needed to be healed.

Rylie wound his way between Kevin’s feet.
Kyle wondered who the feet belonged to, and when he looked up to see a face, he saw a beard instead. And there was only one bearded member of the party, unless you counted the stubble of Charlie, Korim, and Take.
“Kevin!” said Kyle. “Blair needs a rib healed. I hate for you to feel used, but I’m afraid if she isn’t healed, it will be quite painful to continue our journey. I can dress her superficial wound, though I don’t think it would be that hard for you. I’ve already cleaned it

Kevin replied with a firm nod, rolling up his sleeves as he carefully brushed past everyone else to crouch in front of Blair.
“How are you doing?” He asked softly, crouching down and assessing her wounds. He had hoped it would only be a hairline fracture, but up close he saw it was a lot worse.
“I’m going to need to hold the bone in place,” he warned, reaching out. His magic couldn’t realign bone, assuming he could even successfully heal her. The last bone he had healed was in one of the chicks when they first arrived, and he couldn’t remember the time before that. He hoped Blair’s werewolf powers would include rapid healing.
He rested his hands on her side, gently pressing the rib back in place as his hands took on their green glow. Closing his eyes, Kevin let out a deep breath, letting the magic out with it. He could feel it go towards her torn skin, something it knew it could help, and took a sharp breath, forcing it to go deeper, below the skin and muscle, and into the bone.

He could feel a sharp sting in his hands as he guided his magic to where it needed to be, and he felt the tissue moving, forming together in a desperate attempt to fix itself. But there was something else there, something he wasn’t quite familiar with. It felt like there was another healer working along side him, though he knew that wasn’t possible.
The green light flickered as exhaustion worked its way through him. it felt like he was traveling all throughout the crack in her rib, hand-fixing it all. Even with Blair’s subtle healing capabilities, it drained him more than he would’ve like to admit.
He let out his last burst of energy, before the light faded for good and he pulled his hands away. There was a lot more internal work to be done, but he had managed to seal the outer layer. As long as she avoided too much pressure and movement, it wouldn’t break again.

Kevin looked absolutely drained by the exertion. Kyle felt bad for him because he knew what it felt like to suddenly crash. (Yeah he pretty much has only weaknesses and no strengths, lol) “Thank you, Kevin.” Rylie stood on his hind legs to rub Kevin’s knee.

Kevin ran his fingers down Rylie’s back, giving the cat an exhausted smile. He was rather fond of cats, especially ones as fluffy as Rylie.
He lifted his hand, noticing the blood he left on the felines fur. “I’m sorry,” he apologized to Kyle, using his sleeve to wipe off the blood. “I should’ve realized that would happen.” He took a moment to gain a bit of energy, before forcing himself to his feet.
“I’m going to go clean up, and maybe take a nap. Wake me if you’re getting breakfast.” He said, limping upstairs and into an unoccupied bedroom.

After rifling through a dozen more cabinets and unable to exhume anything unrelated to alcohol, Colby was starting to get frustrated. Yes, it was obvious that he couldn't help with the current situation that everyone was violently concerned with, and made even more obvious by Aella's demand for dispersement, but he really wanted to do what he could for the happiness value by getting everyone fed. So he wasn't about to give up on recruiting the scoop. "Hey, Charlie, when was the last time you saw Korim?"
Charlie turned to look at Colby. “I don’t know, I just woke up.” He said. He glanced at the others by the bed and saw that they had got the medical things figured out. Oh. Good. He looked back to Colby. “You need him?”
