I've been on the mountains in Banff, though I didn't hike on the big ones. There's a lift. I did make an attempt for like 10 minutes on the tiny hill there that's technically a mountain. Sort of. First time I went was mid-summer, no snow caps. Second time I went it was snowing so heavily we couldn't even see the mountains.Me too Sam, me too. Actually though. The only mountains I’ve ever seen were the Smoky Mountains (in Appalachia) and even those I didn’t get to climb. I really want to see and climb the lofty snow-topped type. But *draws in breath* this year, that will all change. I will GO to the Rockies and climb them. Or if not on the way to Yellowstone where I’m going, in a year I will go on the “Out West” backpacking trip and then I will climb on them, sleep on them, and do lots of things on them. Well, it’s not always on the Rockies, it’s sometimes in the Grand Tetons. But I WILL FIND A WAY.
