The Hidden Door Chat Thread

Asdfgh, it always seems like 5 is the deciding year. They either make it past it, and stick around for practically ever, or go then. I've lost more girls than I can count between 4 and 5. It's such a freakishly exact pattern that still gets me every time. :(

Oh, man, Butterscotch, that sounds so rough. @-@ I'm glad to hear that you weren't hurt any worse, though. :hugs

---what is with this poor thread right now
Poor guy indeed. I didn't know what a foxtail was before this, but that looks like agony to have in your eye. x-x

:hit Oh my word, girl, don't apologize to me. :th I'm so sorry you lost that spicy gal. She was such a character that I loved hearing about- especially with all of her crazy comb adventures. And I can say with assurance that you gave her the absolute best treatment possible, as you always do. Take all the time you need, of course, and you've got my prayers. :hugs
Thank you, girl. It's so hard losing her, she was literally one of my best friends even if she was just a chicken, but I know shes not suffering anymore. I've never been sure that I did something right when putting a chicken down, always a what if, but now I know now that shes not in pain anymore.
She was one of a kind, though, and I will never forget her, and there will always be a gap where she should be in the flock, but at least I got to know her, y'know? She could have been sold off to some farmer that would have culled her 3 years ago when she had egg bound. At least I know I gave her the best life that I possibly could, and she was literally spoiled like a queen.

I’m so sorry, I hope you can see that she really had the best life any chicken could ever ever have

D: bsbf! I know you're probably feeling worse, but I hope you're feeling better.

Clucks! I'm sorry you lost your girl. :hugs :hugs

It took me a few days of randomly crying but it's starting to get better. Hope you can fill the hole in your heart.
Thank you, RQ. I'm sorry you lost three girls, that's got to be hard. It does get better, thankfully.

He pushed the wooden board to the floor and placed his hands on the wood pulling himself up.
(Maybe he will find pics of Kevin and his ex girlfriend?? XD @FrankieDoodle would he have them up there?)

There’s a lot of baby stuff and old furniture covered in dusty sheets in the attic. Most of the baby stuff (rocking chair, crib, cradle, etc.) is hand carved out of wood. There might be a few pictures of Kevin and his partner, but idk. Oh, there’s also a really, really old vintage phone that’s probably been around since the beginning of time. It obviously doesn’t work anymore though. :p

Ooooh I can’t wait to see what trouble Fred and the others stir up
