Let's see, Hmmm...I just might be able to separate myself from one or two of mine...Oh, by the way...for you apron makers. Did you know that you can get Dick and Jane themed fabric on ebay. And on the various fabric websites!
I'm thinking of doing that and breaking out my sewing machine for a fabby apron with ric rac!!!

That would be a lot of fun especially if they were homemade; it would be fun to see how many different designs that people could come up with.

I have two aprons that I used to wear over my work clothes before I retired but they are old and worn out; nobody would want those old things. Now I just wear a mans over sized pocket tee shirt and a pair of jeans around the house. The older and more stained up they get the more character they have.

DH and I were around back in the 50's and we still love the retro stuff. DH found an old 50’s teak wood table, chairs and hutch in an old resale shop he stopped in on his way home from work one day last year. He got them for a song and brought them home as a surprise. A couple of months later he brought home a bakers rack that he found in another old resale shop and it matches the table and chairs.

I really love the bakers rack, it's so nice to have all my cake pans and such close at hand.

TOTALLY jealous of your bakers rack, I'm looking for one to use as a potting bench.

Someone give me some pointers... what do you like in an apron??? Ruffles, pockets...... should they be quilted to use as postholders, or double layered??? I only own one apron and it's a very utilitarian one from Wal-mart

OH! like I said before...Dick and Jane fabric. Does anybody remember the old english readers from gradeschool back in the 60's and early 70's?
They make fabric with those images on them. See Spot Run.
