Last month a tiny kitten hitched a ride on the underside of my husband's truck. We don't know from when or where. The neighbor's cat alerted to it. Took us about 40 minutes to get her out as she would travel from the spare tire in the back to somewhere in the middle of the truck (and it was hot). Had a burn on her little nose that is now healed.
She isn't named yet, only dubbed Hitch Hiker at the vet, because I've been trying to find her a home. Guess she's staying. LOL
